2006 Cadillac SRX - Great car to own
It is a lot larger than I would like to drive, but I have grown accustomed to it. The paint has not faded or had chips in all the years I have owned it. The inside cab is quite roomy, seats have a variety of adjustment settings. The leather seating can be hard to clean at times and even still, but overall comfortable for long drives. Heated seats are great for cold days, and the separate temperature controls for the driver and passenger are great, I can turn off the passenger side when I am alone and do not feel I am wasting energy. It supposedly "learns" your driving style, as there are different profiles on the car for each driver. There are small compartment storage in the back as well as a roomy "trunk" that is not really separate from the car, which might be a problem for some. T... (more)

There is a lot of information that can be obtained from the display on the C.D player, such as battery/oil life and so on. OnStar is equipped, there is a car phone and you can even link your personal cell through the car phone making talking hands-free in the speaker. The vehicle itself looks quite nice.
This car was amazingly able to drive up one of the winding, steep roads of a local mountain without overheating. With all the room in the cab, it was easy to fit a lot in for our trip.

Heated seats are great for cold days, and the separate temperature controls for the driver and passenger are a wonderful feature. There are many hooks for hangers or whatnot throughout the car and several power ports, including one in the back. Many ports for electric devices and even one in the back, if so needed. The seats are comfortable over long distance drives, with many adjustments that can be made in the seat. You can adjust what the key for your profile recognizes, such as if you want the seat to move whenever the key is inserted/removed, what you want displayed on the CD display,... (more)

It can get up to speed very quickly.
The personal settings never seems to work on the profiles: It does not save my seating adjustment. One of the keys always changes to the correct profile, but the male key still requires me to set it manually to my own if I am driving. It is a pity that the original stereo does not have a Bluetooth option.

2006 Cadillac SRX - Reliability meets luxury in the Cadillac SRX
I love my Cadillac SRX. It's, by far, my favorite of all the vehicles I have owned in the past. I have driven it multiple times from Kentucky to the border of Canada, from Kentucky to Tennessee, and from Kentucky to South Carolina. The luxury quality really shines through on long road trips. It is very roomy inside and can easily fit five people on a road trip with plenty of room in the back for everyone's luggage. As far as the mechanical aspects about the car go, I have to say I have personally driven the car thousands of miles. I haven't had any major problems out of it yet. It is my everyday vehicle to get me to and from work, and I never worry about it getting me where I need to go. The body of the car is very solid, and it is big enough to feel safe in without being too big to park or feel comfortable going to the drive thru. The motor takes synthetic oil, which is great, because it's better for the motor and holds up longer without needing as many oil changes.
My favorite memory in this vehicle would have to be my most recent vacation trip. My husband and I drove nine hours straight to Myrtle Beach .We got lost a few times, ate a few meals on the road, and stopped at a few little out of the way shops. Some of my favorite features include: heated seats, backup sensors, and multiple driver profiles with seat, radio, and temperature memory for each driver.

Some of my least favorite qualities are: no aux cord plug in, no backup camera (only sensors), and no DVD players in the back for the kids.
