Have plenty of gas because traveling to and from other cities in this area can be taxing.

Expect to pay a little bit more in Fortuna for automobiles. Even though it is a little more country, it is still California. Craigslist is definitely the way to go though but even there you'll have to expect to pay quite a bit.

It has absolutely breathtaking scenery. Lots of hills are here, curvy and winding roadways, and beautiful views of the Pacific ocean. It's a little bit country and not too far from the Redwoods national forest!

Route 101. It's a historic route and runs all along the coastline. You can travel virtually the entire length of California on it.
