I bought my Cavalier with 14 miles on it. I have put almost 200,000 miles at this point and the car just keeps on going. There have been some minor repair issues over time but I feel it has been far less then I have seen others putting towards their cars. I plan on keeping my car until it is no longer running.
Story
I was driving at night down the highway when out of the black a huge full garbage bag was in the center lane. I had to swerve out of the way and in doing so my car fishtailed but she held together and got us through it.
Pros
Be keeping up with regular oil changes etc. This car seems to want to run forever. It gets great gas mileage and has a smooth ride even after so many years, As there have only been a couple small recalls; it is well put together.
Cons
You do get some interior noise when you are driving but any car this old is going to make some noise. It does only seat 2 comfortably but the back seat is ideal for small kids or moving items. I do dislike how the dash and interior is made of plastic as it adds a film to your windows on hot days and over the years it has cracked in places.

The car was bought used with 100k miles on it. It was in terrible condition. Previous owner didn't care much about it. I was a college student. I needed a ride. I bought it for $1000. It had starting problems. There was something with the immobilizer system. After a while the started went bad. I replaced myself with one from junkyard, and it never had any started problem. I had to leave put the key in start it, and it would not start even with the new started. After 5 minutes the immobilizer system would reset and it would start just fine. After a while the serpentine belt broke, I took it to mechanic and he replaced with a new one. Amazing car, just in bad shape. I got what I paid for. It served me well during college years. I sold it for the same price I bought it for to the next col... (more)
Story
It was a two door coupe, it would barely seat five people. We took it to road trip to Carlsbad caverns, which is a hilly drive. Because the radiator fan was not working, the car over heated. We stopped, filled it with water again. I looked up on internet and made removed the socket from the temperature sensor, that cased the ECU to stop getting any readings and it switched to fall back mode of... (more)
Pros
Small, nimble, easy to maneuver, easy to drive, low maintenance. Cheap parts.
Cons
Breaks down easily.

Overall this has been a great car. I've owned it for three years now, and haven't had a single issue out of it. The mileage is great, it rides extremely smoothly, routine maintenance is a piece of cake, and it looks stylish.
Story
There's a local Cavalier club, and a Facebook group for finding parts/modifying the car!
Pros
Stylish look, great mileage, simple maintenance, roomy interior and trunk, 5 speed, not too loud on the highway. The parts aren't very expensive, and in my experience if you need to perform major maintenance, most of it is easy enough to understand, and you won't have to do it too often. If you take care of this car, it will take care of you.
Cons
The only issues I've had out of this car are non-issues. Things that the previous owner did to it like aftermarket intake and radios malfunctioning, etc. The only issue I would have out of a stock Cavalier would be a slight lack of horsepower in the 40-70mph range, but that's to be expected of any 4 cylinder standard.

They are a dealership that revolves completely around in house financing. This is a great quality because they do not do credit checks so people who have no credit can easily buy a car and still build their credit! They also have a rule that there are no payments over $300 a month.

They are honest, respectful, and straight forward. They did not try to take advantage of the fact that I am female and did not treat me like I was stupid. I had a very bad experience at a different dealership just a few weeks before I bought my car from Classic.
