Think twice before buying discontinued vehicles
First and foremost I should point out that when I purchased my Mazda B2300, it was the first time I was financing a vehicle. I was working with a very small budget. Based on this, it was an absolutely fine truck for the price, and my needs at the time. It didn't have much power, but gas mileage was good. There was only one previous owner who maintained it well and put in a spray on bed liner as well as an aftermarket stereo. By far, the biggest downside was that the truck, as well as the comparable truck (Ford Ranger) had been discontinued, making it difficult and/or expensive to maintain or repair.

A work horse.
I drove it off the show room floor in 1996. It has been very reliable, especially since it was used as a work truck for a number of years. It stood up to employees no doubt abuse (treated it like a rented mule) and still ran strong. The only thing it lacked was power windows, so I added this feature.

The truck is great for a four cylinder, but it lacks great power.
I love the truck based on its price; it cannot be beat. It doesn't look that great though and can look like an old beater compared to newer trucks, but if you don't care about aesthetics, who cares? But, it does have 4wd and can make its way up many different obstacles. Fuel economy is great. I don't care about banging the truck up, and it gets me where I need to go. The bed allows for me to haul brush or help friends move.
