Mazda B-Series OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Think twice before buying discontinued vehicles
First and foremost I should point out that when I purchased my Mazda B2300, it was the first time I was financing a vehicle. I was working with a very small budget. Based on this, it was an absolutely fine truck for the price, and my needs at the time. It didn't have much power, but gas mileage was good. There was only one previous owner who maintained it well and put in a spray on bed liner as well as an aftermarket stereo. By far, the biggest downside was that the truck, as well as the comparable truck (Ford Ranger) had been discontinued, making it difficult and/or expensive to maintain or repair.

The truck is great for a four cylinder, but it lacks great power.
I love the truck based on its price; it cannot be beat. It doesn't look that great though and can look like an old beater compared to newer trucks, but if you don't care about aesthetics, who cares? But, it does have 4wd and can make its way up many different obstacles. Fuel economy is great. I don't care about banging the truck up, and it gets me where I need to go. The bed allows for me to haul brush or help friends move.

My Mazda B2300
Bought this truck in 2002, and it has been the most reliable and trouble-free vehicle I've owned. I've had to fix the A/C and replace the clutch and radiator, but all other systems are rolling along fine. Ride is bouncy and stiff, but that's only a problem for my rear passengers. Road and wind noise is pretty high compared to our family sedans, but this is a commuting and work vehicle. Wish the A/C was more reliable.
