Mazda RX-7 OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

I love the look and the driving experience of this car.
The one thing that I really love about this car is the size of it. From always owning small compact cars but wanting an SUV this crossover is the perfect step for me, when trying to find a SUV I was overwhelmed with the size of most of them out there and I found myself not feeling comfortable behind the wheel of them. When I tried out this Mazda RX-7 the I was comfortable and found the size to be perfect for what I wanted and needed, it gave me a little more room than what I was use to but not to much that I felt lost. The one thing that I disliked about it at first was this annoying dinging that would sound at odd times, I could not for the life of me figure it out and it was starting to get frustrating. I tried doing research online about the problem but I did not have any luck locating annoying seeming to have the same issue as I was. Then all of a sudden while driving I realized what the noise was, this car is equipped with the blind spot package and it just so happens that when the blind spot notification is on when you put your blinker on to turn into the next lane it is giving you a warning so you know someone is next to you. I feel the quality of the vehicle compared to the price was great, I feel as if I got all of the things that I wanted and a price that was lowering than I wanted. I feel the car performs well when being driving in typical driving conditions I have not had the opportunity to see how it handles in snowy conditions but if I were to base my thoughts about how it will handle in the snow I would say I have nothing to worry about should the occasion to drive in the snow arises.

A great classic Japanese sports car.
The Mazda Rx7. A classic sports car from the end of an era where lightweight, rear-wheel drive cars were the go to for fun and excitement. The Rx7 started as one of the first mass produced platforms for the 1.3 Liter Rotary motor. Making over 200 horsepower from the factory with its turbocharged motor, with only weighing a little over a ton with the driver, it was fun to drive and had exactly what you were looking for if you were in the market. I bought my first one at the age of 18, looking for something cheap and fun. I spend the next few years driving it as a commuter. Within the next 2 years I picked up another one to use as a track car, and that is where the fun began. I fixed it up quite a bit and hit the track. This is where it shined. I've never had so much fun. It gave me years of fun before I finally had to get rid of it. Still my favorite car to this day.

Fun and Classic.
I was 18 and looking to purchase my first car, when I saw this red beauty of a sports car sitting alongside a dirt road with a for sale sign posted on the window. It was a 1987 Mazda RX-7. Although the car was purchased with 200,000 miles on the odometer, it was in amazing shape. It was the standard edition, so there were no power options included, nor was the engine equipped with Turbo, but it still had a certain charm. Thanks to the single and proud owner, there was no rust, the interior was in fantastic shape, didn't belong to a smoker, and everything electronic still worked. . It had a 5-speed standard transmission, with a 1.3 liter, 146 horsepower Wankel engine. The efficient Wankel engine required little to no maintenance, as long as the oil was regularly changed. It handled nicely, gripped turns well, and accelerated with intrepid speed. It was a great car to own as an 18 year old boy, as the girls seemed to like it. The Blazing red paint job and the overall shape and lines of car really made it stand out on the road. I got a lot of compliments driving that car around town.
