2004 Mazda RX-8 - The sporty ride did not disappoint
The sporty test drive on a curvy road told me everything I wanted to know - whether there was joy in the experience, and there was. The RX-8 has 4 seats, with suicide-style rear doors, and being a passenger in the back seat is no problem for an average-sized person. There was better view ability out the back windows versus other sporty vehicles I tested, a nice stereo system, cruise control for long drives, traction control to minimize wheel spin on slippery surfaces. Plus the car looks good and I loved the red color of the one I picked. But best of all it has a rotary engine, so a smooth power curve and less banging in the engine bay.
Historia
When the car was brand new in year one of it's release, it was a head-turner on it's maiden voyage on a cruise around the Lake.
A Favor
The car handles curves in a fun and sporty way, it's really fun to drive.
En Contra
Gas mileage around town is under 20 mpg and it uses High Octane which costs more per fill-up. Also, you have to keep on top of checking the oil level, since the rotary engine uses motor oil faster than a piston engine.

2010 Mazda RX-8 - Fun, comfortable, and agile.
I love this car, it has very modern technology, and plenty of options and packages to choose from. It rides like a dream, soft enough to drive in for hours but rough enough to know exactly what's happening on the road beneath you. Taking turns in this car is like a dream, it holds tight and if you take it fast it feels as though it is going to break free but never does it simply holds steady all the way through. The car has been known to have reliability issues due to the rotary motor, but Mazda put a 100k warranty on it for ten years to all owners active at the date of first purchase to ease some worried owners' minds. I have personally had no trouble so far, parts are a bit pricey but there are many parts to choose from. this car fits four adults comfortably, trunk space is plentiful... (more)
Historia
Me and a few friends started a local cruise through some of the country roads around our area. It was a good two hour drive of a bunch of beautiful cars roaming from the beaches to the cow fields and everybody's heads were turned. It was a great moment to drive around with friends, just enjoying the car, the music, and the atmosphere.
A Favor
Agile, comfortable, roomy, lots of electronics, fast, safe, and looks amazing.
En Contra
Reliability of motor, cost of parts, and fuel consumption.
