Dependable
This vehicle is a high speed, low drag performer. With very little maintenance, it is solid as a rock for years, and several hundreds of thousands of miles. This vehicle embodied the Saturn brand when it came into being - a reasonably priced, very dependable vehicle. Compared to my friends who drive Chevrolets, and Fords - I have been their ride to auto repair shops to shell out thousands of dollars, to fix their newer, more expensive - less mileage vehicles. I can not say enough here to reflect how outstanding a purchase of this vehicle has been to me.

Inexpensive fun
I enjoy having this car. It handles well and is quite quick with the super charger. Servicing the car myself with basic tools is pretty easy to do for the most part, as long as you have some mechanical knowledge. Finding mechanical modifications have been easy to find as the car shares the same platform as the Chevy Cobalt SS. I have owned the car for about six years and have not had any major problems with it in the 40k miles I have put on it.

Saturn Ion, good starter car.
I like how easy my vehicle is to use when I need it to be good. There are windows that are automatic and you do not have to roll them down, as there are windows like that in some of my other friend's cars. There is also a button that you can push on your keys to lock and unlock your car, you do not have to use the key to unlock the door.
