1999 GMC Suburban - Lots of room but uses lots of gas
I like the vehicle because it has a lot of room (very comfortable) for the family to move around and it's old but holds up great.
The car does very good with acceleration, braking, and handling. I Use to be very nervous while driving large vehicles because I have always driven small cars, so it took me a while to get use to this truck. I got comfortable, and in control with driving it and now I drive it everyday. It's big but easy to drive and I actually kind of like it now, even though I would still prefer a smaller car.
Pros
I don't really care for the look of the car because it's such an older model, but I would enjoy it a lot more if it were an up to date model. The truck
My boyfriend knows how to work on vehicles so the costs hasn't been completely unbearable and he has fixed lots of things on the truck like:
Brakes, Belt drives, Tensioners, Oil changes, spark plugs, Tire repairs, etc.....
Cons
I drive to work from Houston to Brookshire (64 miles one way) 6 days a week for work and it cost at least $170.00 a week to get to and from work without any extra stops, so the truck seems to use a lot of gas.
We've had to take it to the shop about six or more times Due to:
Transmission stopped working , Fuel pump stopped working twice, Ball Joints replaced once, upper control arm replaced, Ac compressor replacement, and Universal joint replacement).
On the drivers side I always notice a blind spot and I've almost caused about three accidents because of it.
