This is a great vehicle for someone who loves the outdoors. I am an avid hunter, fisher, and off-roader, and I love this little Jeep. I used to only own Wranglers, but with the price of them and the gas mileage, I decided to stick with Jeep, but try a different model and this was just the thing I was looking for! My vehicle is going on 2 years old and I have put 65,000 miles on it and it still runs like the day I bought it. It's a smooth ride and gets pretty good gas mileage for being an SUV. I generally get anywhere from 25-28 miles per gallon when I'm on the highway. It's also pretty good in the snow and the mud and I very rarely have to put it in 4-wheel drive. It's great as a daily driver and on dirt roads when I'm out doing what I love. It also tows my aluminum jon boat with no pr... (more)
Story
I bring this vehicle to the shooting range a lot, which is in the woods and one time I went through a puddle that was a lot deeper than I thought it would be. I didn't get stuck, but my red jeep was totally covered in mud, all the way up to the windshield.
Pros
For being on the smaller side, for an SUV, this Jeep actually has a lot of room inside. I usually have my seats folded down for more storage space, but if I am driving other people around and the seats are up, there is still plenty of room to put stuff in the storage area in the back. I also love how it still has the jeep look, but doesn't ride as rugged as some other SUVs do. All of the features of it are great too. It has remote start, backup camera, and keyless entry.
Cons
One of the major cons about the vehicle is that since I have so many miles on it and it is still on the newer side, it's hard to get parts if I need them. So far I have had to replace the breaks and also the thermostat housing, which I don't think should have gone quite this soon. I also have noticed that sometimes some of the sensors seem to be wrong, such as it telling me that might turn signal light bulbs are out, but in reality, they're not and they're working just fine.

2015 Jeep Renegade - Modern Jeep provides plenty of space and gas mileage.

This is one of the better Jeeps that I have owned, and I am on my fourth Jeep. One of the things I really like about this Jeep is the body style. It's futuristic looking and has a lot of smooth curves that make it stand out against other cars. The engine is four-cylinder, so if you're used to a V6 or V8, it does take a little time to get use to, but the slight loss of power is a great trade off for the amazing gas mileage that you get with this car. Like all Jeeps, it rides a little bumpy, but it's far less bumpier than a Wrangler.
Story
I took this car to Colorado with me and my two dogs. We slept in it along the way and then went hiking at Garden of the Gods. We had a blast with the girls in the backseat sticking their heads out the windows and taking pictures along the way.
Pros
The Renegade is super comfortable. It easily sits five people or two humans and two dogs. The back seat can be thrown down (like all Jeeps) to give you more cargo space. I love having cargo space underneath the back floorboard. It's nice to hide stuff if needed. I have two dogs, and they can easily fit in the back seat, or if I want to give them more room, I put the back seat down, toss their beds in the back and they can stretch out. There's plenty of little nooks to tie off their harnesses too so they stay safe and secured while I drive. The gas mileage is amazing for a Jeep. I only have... (more)
Cons
The Jeep costs less than other models, and that's reflected in the plastic used on the panels and trim. I've had to take it back to the dealer twice in the two years I've owned it in order to get trim replaced that either broke or came unhinged. However, it was covered under warranty, so it didn't cost me anything. Because it does have a four-cylinder engine, you don't have the get up and go that you're used to with a V6 or a V8 so take that into account when trying to gun it on an on-ramp.
