This Jeep is everything I wanted in more. When we decided to move to the part of the country, we knew we needed a vehicle that would be able to handle the elements, and this definitely does. The sales person told me if you are looking for a vehicle to go through bad weather like snow and ice, this is the one. He was totally right. I drive the jeep at night a lot for work, and I totally feel safe and secure, for all types of weather.
Story
We rented a cabin in the mountains at Christmas time last year. We took everything in the car including a tree. We had as great time and had tons of room. We will remember that trip with our kids forever.
Pros
The first thing I can think of is the comfort level of the interior of the cab. The luxury of the seats itself, makes you forget you are riding in a car, and not sitting in a cushy chair in your home. Sitting higher off the ground you do feel more secure, but as a shorter woman I still don't feel that I need a ladder to get in it. The size of the windshield is perfect to see anyone car or truck in your path. The size of the headlights is perfect for driving in rain or snow, because you can see through it and feel that others see you too, so safety is perfect. The engine is perfect if you w... (more)
Cons
The only con we had was a cosmetic one. We had to replace a bulb inside of the vehicle, that had burned out when we bought it.

2016 Jeep Renegade - It's a fun vehicle.

The Jeep Renegade is the perfect size for me. It is smaller than my previous sedan but with more trunk space and seats that fold down to (barely) accommodate my mountain bike. It sits high, so I feel like I have a great view of what is going on around me when I am driving. I love the sun roof. I have had the vehicle for a year and half and have enjoyed it. Although I had to go without the screen/Bluetooth/radio/back-up camera functionality for about six weeks because it stopped working and the dealership had to order the parts.
Story
For months after purchasing the vehicle, when people (family, coworkers) would see me in it they always had a huge smile on their face and would note, "You look so cute in that! You look ready for an adventure!" I enjoy how much joy it brings to others to see me enjoying my life in this vehicle
Pros
The size is perfect for me. It is a small/short SUV so it is easy to park and drive but still has space to pack up for a short (week long) road trip or weekend of camping. The sun roof has been great. The 4x4 function allows me to drive with confidence when there is snow or ice.
Cons
The screen that allows you to navigate the Bluetooth, radio, phone, and back-up camera quit working after I had the vehicle for about a year. I had to go without these functions for about six weeks because the dealership had to order the part. There is not much space in the front area for storage, e.g. the front consoles do not have much space and there are only two "functional" cup holders. They are both in the front. There is space in the doors for water bottles but is not particularly useful.
