Really enjoy my Kids Optima EX. It has tight steering so it feels very responsive in turns and gives you the feeling that you are driving a race car. The 4 cylinder engine is very responsive on the highway and will quickly get you around creeping traffic, while still averaging over 30 mpg. The panoramic sunroof is amazing. Gives you the sense of luxury that you would receive from more expensive luxury vehicles. The leather seats can be heated or cooked in the front which comes in handy during the hot Georgia summers. The Optima turns heads with is pretty lines and aggressive stance. The dual exhaust is a nice touch and gives the rear a nice symmetrical appearance. The only complaint that I have is that the rear window is fairly small and can rather high so it can be hard to see when ba... (more)
Story
The Kia was great when heading to Daytona Beach. We opened the sunroof and let the satellite radio blast pop music from the 2000s the whole trip. Great ride.
Pros
Climate control seats, UVO entertainment system, back up camera, panoramic sunroof, gas mileage.
Cons
Limited sight lines in rearview, navigation system sometimes will take you on the scenic route.

2011 Kia Optima - Happily surprised Kia owner.

Despite not actually picking this vehicle out on the dealership lot (my husband did), I fell in love with this car on the test drive. The shape is sporty and classy with an expensive feel but stands out from other car models with unique styling details. I have the EX model with sun/moon roof package, leather heated/cooled seats, and too many other features to list. The sun/moon roof provides incredible views, and when the sun roof is opened up, really contributes to the sporty feel of the car. When the sun roof is closed, but the cover retracted, the car has a touristy feel, allowing the passengers to gaze out into the sky, which is great to do on long rides or even at night. The heated/cooled seats and other higher-end features make this car something I am proud to share rides wi... (more)
Story
My son and I created a playlist, and using the car radio AUX port and cable connected to my phone, opened the windows and roof, and proceeded to blast LEGO Batman movie soundtrack as we drove through town. I'll never forget the grin on his face!
Pros
The high-end features of this car certainly continue to please drivers and passengers. Cooled seats are a special treat during hot summer days and are almost as nice as the heated seats and steering wheel during chilly winter days. The sun/moon roof is always a delight to allow some fresh air in or a different perspective looking out. Plenty of storage cubbies all over the car, including six total cup holders, a deep console and dash compartment, pockets on the front seats, and large door bins all around. Two DC power outlets are very convenient in this age of device charging, and dual... (more)
Cons
In my five years experience with this vehicle, there are very few things I don't like. The cloth cover to the sun/moon roof is a bit flimsy, so an actual panel with backing might be preferential. My steering wheel leather covering is wearing where my hands are most frequently, but honestly, that is to be expected.
