The car gets decent gas mileage. It has 3 rows of seat compacted into a car. While this is nice, it doesn't give much leg room. It also means my car seat is a tight squeeze with someone in the passenger seat. Also it is slightly difficult to get someone in and out of the third row of seats. You have to fold down the second row and put it back up, then do it all over again so they can get out. The back two rows of seats fold down as to make a pretty big trunk. I moved from state to state with this car. I've driven from North Carolina to Missouri and back. I've also driven from North Carolina to New Jersey and back. I didn't have any issues with either trip. It also drives rather smooth on the road. The cruise control on the car is nice. It has blinkers on the side mirrors for extra safe... (more)
Story
A police officer pulled me over for slightly speeding. He let me off with a warning and told me to slow down because "there weren't any zombies around here". My car had a magnet that said "I speed up to run over zombies". It made him laugh which saved me from a ticket.
Pros
Spacious vehicle with seats folded down Good gas mileage Extra safety features Air/heating vents in front and middle
Cons
Not enough leg room Difficult to get in and out of the 3rd row Car seats are a tight fit.

I love this car. It has plenty of space in the backseat as well as in the trunk. We have had no problem with transporting anything we needed, and that included 500lbs of clay and a pottery wheel! The trunk has extra compartments beneath the floor, too, which I love. It also gets good gas mileage. We have been able to save on our gas budget since getting the Rondo. I also think it is a really nice looking vehicle. It's sleek and interesting, plus it's not a mini-van but still has room for the family - car seats included! It has performed really pretty well for us. We did have to take it to the shop at one point but it was for something small. The air conditioning wasn't working right but it was an easy, and cheap, fix. The seats in the car are pretty comfortable, especially with the hea... (more)

The best memory I have in the car is getting to bring my daughter home from the hospital when she was born.
Pros
Spacious, good for the family. Better gas mileage.
Cons
Air conditioning stopped working. Needs a bit more lower back support. Small cup holders.

My 2007 Kia Rondo is an interesting vehicle. I purchased it for its roomy interior as I am often transporting dogs and children long distances for family travel. I like the Rondo's engine reliability. I've put over 150,000 miles on it in seven years. However, its fit and finish has been disappointing. With regular oil changes I've never worried about its engine function, but I've had repeated problems with ancillary systems such as brakes, air conditioning, power windows.
Story
My Kia Rondo stood up well to the Bull Moose who tried to commit suicide by car. Driving in the mountains around Ruidoso, New Mexico a moose loped in front of me coming out of the shadows. I clipped the poor guy in the front shoulder and spun him around so that his rear hind quarters slammed into the driver's side door. Crunched the front quarter panel and door of the car.
Pros
The main benefits of the Rondo are its roominess, its engine reliability, and its power. The V6 option provides plenty of get-up-and-go as I travel through the Rocky Mountain region of the Southwest. Other than routine oil and filter changes, I've had no expenses on engine repair and feel I can get over 200,000 miles out of this car. With the fold down second and third row seats, I can pack a heaping-helping of gear, kids, and pooches in the Rondo's interior.
Cons
A big disappointment with the Rondo, however, has been its overall build quality. The rear hatch door hydraulic mechanism quickly malfunctioned after purchase, as did two of the four electric window motors, the air conditioning compressor, etc.
