This brand of automobile is the first I bought outside traditional American Chevy & Ford models. This automobile purchase met my conversion views of owning something in between cars and trucks, meaning bigger than a car but not as big as a full size truck. Perfect for that in between feel that some drivers require when they think about the size and total weight of the automobile. I was very happy with the fuel mileage for inner city driving. It meets exceptional quality burning through fuel in idle from red light to red light. Also was the first automobile I ordered features like color, stereo features, etc. from the company's website to be delivered to my closest Kia dealer. The company's website was easily manageable. I give this make and model 5 stars.
Story
The day I bought it I acted like that gerbil you see in the commercial for this type of automobile. I drove around looking for all my friends wanting to show them.
Pros
Positive features were my personal selections like Sirius radio, custom usb ports that I configured to run devices like laptop and data feeds, etc. Navigation system to run apps like map quest. Key less entry with disarm and arm features to the alarm. Awesome fuel mileage for its size. Plenty of seating room for that night out with friends to dinner even if it's a drive thru run. Good hatch back storage space for that weekly food shopping run.
Cons
I have no cons for this purchase for two reasons. 1) I have already ranked it at 5 stars in the review. Hence its counter productive to list cons. 2) I have NOT owned the automobile long enough to list potential issues with it without reading other reviews on cons against the item. I personally have had NO issues with this car at this time.

This is a must have car. Fun and easy to drive. This car may look small but it can hold five people comfortably. It is awesome for road trips, great on car, makes easy U-turns. The front seat is very room. The driver and the passenger are not sitting on each others laps even though it may look like it from the outside. The back seat is room with lots of leg room. Specially if you have small children or teenagers. Two adults can fit pretty good as well. It is good on gas as well. It comes with satellite radio so that is a bonus. Some if you upgrade have a sun room and fun speakers that light up and go to the beat of the music, which is also great as well. The KIA soul also comes in lots of different colors, fun colors as well. Not your usual boring white or black. Some pastels and brown... (more)

The car is solidly built and is a remarkably quiet ride. It is surprisingly roomy for a compact vehicle with great head and leg space. The six-speed manual transmission is responsive and has great pick up. Highway driving averages 31-33 mpg and still gets an average of 28-29 in the city. I really wish the back seats would fold into the floor or up against the front seats to allow for a larger continual flat hauling space.
Story
As a photographer, I take many sometimes questionable roads to get to my scenic destination. In my area, one of the most scenic spots is called "Jumping-Off Rock," overlooking Lake Jocassee in the northwest corner of South Carolina. The 20-mile road up the mountain can be dicey at times with ruts and mud slowing your progress. But "Ansel" took it like a champ, climbing every step of the way... (more)
Pros
The six-speed manual transmission is great when riding in the mountains. Cargo space is impressive, both vertically and horizontally, with the back seats folded down. The car comes Sirius/XM ready and has iPod and USB ports. There are power ports in the console as well as in the cargo area near the back door.
Cons
The back seat does not fold to vertical stow behind the front seats which allows for a larger flat surface in the cargo area - which is best when carrying large boxes or a couple of large dogs. Car did not come with Key Fob, so must manually unlock the driver's door. There is no way to unlock the back door from the exterior. You must walk around to the driver's door and press the unlock hatch button.
