2016 Kia Soul - I love the car! I feel like I'm really high up, almost like a truck but I don't have the bulky feel of a truck which is awesome!!!

I really love the way the sound system in the car is, especially the fact that I don't have to plug my phone up using an aux cord. I love the sleek silver color of the car. I love that the car is super small and fits well into parking spots. The car also has great trunk storage, even for its tiny size. This car also sits high off the ground, but not too much to make you hate the car. The car drives very good and has really good acceleration. Even when left out in the hot sun, the car doesn't get too hot where I'm sweating in the car. The ac reacts very fast and doesn't take long to warm or cool you off. I also really enjoy how spacious the car is, and the fact that you never feel too cramped. The headlights have worked very well and are very bright during the night. The windows are eve... (more)
Story
I took the car to Texas and everyone loved the car and It was optimal and very good to sleep in. It made it a very good and comfortable trip rather than a cramped and horrible ride.
Pros
The color is really great and gives off a shine so that makes people look in awe. The small compactness of the car makes it ideal for parking and finding a space. I have driven the car about 40k miles and nothing has happened so far to the car. The ac reacts really efficiently when you turn it on. The ac blows really cold air, so you won't be sweating through the summer heat. When it is cold, the ac blows efficient hot heat and warms you to the core. The trunk space is very good and can store many things inside. There is even an extra space in the trunk underneath the carpet that you can p... (more)
Cons
I don't like the fact that the inside of the car's interior is black. It makes it more susceptible to being hot inside the car. I don't like the fact that there aren't any cup holders in the back for passengers. It would make it very hard having a kid without cup holders. I also don't like the fact that there isn't enough cup holder space in the front of the car. Like the cup holders are to close together and makes it weird when pulling drinks out of the cup holder. The steering wheel can sometimes get kind of hot because of the leather kind of texture that it has to me. I don't like that ... (more)

The Soul is an amazing car. To start, it has quite a few features in the base package. Thanks to its inexpensive design, it is a great entry level car for first time car buyers. I have the base model with the convenience package, which means it comes with a cargo net, floor mats, and a rear view camera. When I first drove this sleek machine, I could feel comfort and control as the engine revved just enough to sound like I was blazing a trail to my destination. It drives very smooth – I’ve had to drive over potholes and speed bumps to feel any kind of problem with the suspension. I’ve owned it for three months and it feels like it holds its value. Even though I have the base package, I can still add things onto it. They, of course, recommend dealership installation, but it appears you ... (more)
Story
I drove this out to a horse rescue from my suburban home in St Louis. It was about a two hour drive one way and it went from highway all the way down to dirt road. It handled like a champion during tight turns and winding streets. You can adjust the wheel tension between three options to help you control it for various conditions.
Pros
As noted in the main review, this car rides smoothly. Concrete, asphalt, dirt, and gravel - as long as you are driving the right speed it feels like you're floating through water. The cost of this car was pretty cheap too, I managed to get it for fifteen grand at 29 miles, that is very cheap for a brand new car. It comes with a 70,000 mile warranty on most of it, so you can drive this a while and get your moneys worth out of it. It also sports 30 MPG on the highway, I drive pretty much nothing but highway, so I'm saving money on that efficiency. I really like the back up camera - it shows ... (more)
Cons
It has some kind of pointless features. The dashboard and the wheel have a lot of buttons on them, and some that just feel unnecessary. For example, It has a voice commands button but you can only do phone calls and music. To top that off you can't get maps on the touch screen! I feel like it was a waste of technology to have a touch screen, but no maps. The Soul also has one minor problem with the window wipers. If you look at it, they sit inside a small well - which objects can fall into and get stuck! I found this out when a large nut fell into the far left of the well and my wiper woul... (more)
