I live in a coastal urban area, and this car is great for both. On the highway it accelerates very quickly, and when I am in tough traffic, I can put it in sport mode for an extra kick. In the city it looks sleek and classy, and I don't feel like a sore thumb in wealthy areas. I drive in the sand a lot, and the Soul maneuvers like an SUV while being the size of a car. The inside is very spacious, and if you fold down the seats, it can fit a full-size air mattress for easy camping and travel. The Kia Soul has enough power to be able to haul stand up paddle boards on the top of it or a jet sky behind it. I have driven 12,000 miles and have had no mechanical issues thus far. With the power an lack of mechanical problems, I feel very safe in this car.
    Story
I call my Kia Soul "Funky Soul" because everyday on my lunch break Funky and I drive in the sand along the beach and park and listen to Reggae music while watching birds and dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico.
    Pros
The best things about the Kia Soul is that it is reliable, and I feel safe in it. I haven't had any mechanical issues land me on the side of the road, and I can easily keep up with traffic. The Soul is very open and easy to see out of with very little blind spots. It is compact enough to merge through dense traffic with ease but has more of an SUV feel on the inside.
    Cons
The only negative I have to say about the Kia Soul is sometimes there is loud wind noise when driving over 60 mph.

I love how my Kia rides! It's very smooth over all the city and highway terrain, and having everything at your fingertips (volume control, etc.) makes it lovely to drive. Being able to switch from EVO to regular driving has saved me gas and I believe it's lengthened the life of my Kia. The front passenger and drivers seats are cushy and very comfortable even for long drive (several hours).
    Story
Because the Kia has a small size to it, it made driving in DC so much safer, in my opinion, and easier. I was able to really get through the traffic snarls much easier.
    Pros
Easy to drive and very easy to park this car. Great sound system, and I love the back-up camera. I think that should be mandatory in all cars! The body is sturdy, and it handles well. The standard material for the seats is very easy to clean. I like you have so many options with how the touchscreen works, and it's very simple and intuitive to use. It immediately hooks up with my iPhone when I connect them, making it so I can listen to my jams asap or check out the latest podcast.
    Cons
It's loud inside, and the backseat is a bit uncomfortable and kind of hard. There's virtually no trunk space unless you put the back seat down. It doesn't come with a spare tire but with a fix-a-flat can. Headlights are not automatic but manual. The covering on the inside of the roof isn't the typical cloth. I'm not sure what it is, but it's a bit difficult to clean once it gets dirty.
