I bought my Kia Spectra sport hatchback in 2006 as my first new car. From the beginning with this car it was wonderful and we liked it. The car itself handles like a dream as it is low to the ground and very stable. It also provides you with a very comfortable interior. Overall there are no complaints at all with this vehicle and very few things ever cause me any concerns. It gets great gas mileage both in city and on the highway averaging about 26-32mpg. Great get up and go speed and good engine as well. Absolutely the best car that I have ever owned and had the pleasure to drive. Even though the car is older now I refuse to let go of it as I enjoy it that much.

I bought my Kia Spectra in 2008. I remember before this time, they had always told my father and I to stay away from Kias. They were not known for being reliable.. Now in 2008, Kia was becoming the underdog in performance and quality. Even after buying the car, there were naysayers. Sure the car is good, but it doesn't hold its value. That was fine with me; I drive cars until they die. In the last 8 years, besides normal maintenance and a few odd mechanical problems, this car has been incredible. The inside was roomy; could have five people in it with no issues. Traveling in it also proved no problem. Went with three other guys to the beach for a Memorial Day weekend. Us and all of our luggage fit with no issues. Another aspect of traveling, is I take a lot of trips in this car. Most 6-12 hours. Never had any kind of trouble out on the road. The car runs well, and stays comfortable even after a long ride. Gas mileage has also been a great feature with this car. I always feel like I have plenty of power, but know I am saving on fuel costs. Now, 8 years later I am finally looking to trade this car in. Not because it is giving me issues, but because I am just ready to say goodbye.
