I love driving this car! It is smaller and not a 'luxury vehicle', but its economy is amazing. When we bought it, the dealer advertised it as "44 mpg Highway" - but we regularly get 50 mpg highway driving. It has a smaller gas tank but it costs less than $20 to fill him up at current gas prices. The suspension is good but you do feel a lot a bumps - small wheel base and smaller tires do make a difference it seems. However, this car can turn on a dime! I rarely need to do a 3-point turn as I can swing a tight turn on the street! You can easily fit 4 adults into this vehicle and we are seriously considering using it for a long road trip as it is so inexpensive to run. We often only have to fill the tank once or twice a month, which I know would vary depending on how long your commute is ... (more)
Story
There is a few Mitsubishi Mirage drivers in our city - and at least one guy who has the exact same car, age and color as ours - often see him whilst driving on the south and we always beep and wave at one another - really should meet him at some point!
Pros
Overall price we paid, excellent economy for gas etc, cute vehicle, easy to park.
Cons
Slightly cheaper looking finish on interior, a bit bumpier suspension, big trucks like to try to intimidate a smaller car.

2015 Mitsubishi Mirage - I got more than I paid for.

This car is great for good fuel economy, it has great safety features and it is very easy to get in and out of, even for a 300-pound man and a 380-pound woman. Many parts of this car seem to be of high quality. It is bigger on the inside than it seems from the outside. The seat belts in the front are adequate for very large people. I replaced the rear springs with the rear springs from a 2002 Beetle. This made the car drive much sportier, and the rear end stopped bottoming out.
Story
I once achieved a little over 64 MPG for more than 30 miles with this car, talk about a good time!
Pros
This car has a 10 year, 100,000-mile warranty. This car gets incredible mileage, and it has enough power to go 80 with four large people in it. The area in the hatch is much larger than it appears. The insurance for the car is low, likely due to the low replacement value. (I did buy gap insurance.) The car is easy to park. The car has Bluetooth. These cars all come with things like power windows and door locks and Bluetooth. Our car has cruise control and an automatic transmission. Our car has gotten more than 34 MPG at all times and has averaged about 44 over the 52,000 miles we have owne... (more)
Cons
This car has a lot of wind noise, particularly in the back seat. These cars depreciate rapidly. Don't buy a new one unless you are going to keep it for a while. For short-term, use buy a used one. The power of the engine is adequate but not any more than adequate. The radio will not turn off at the push of a button; you have to hold it for several seconds, biggest design flaw on the car. This car is not a replacement for a nice and newer car, it is an inexpensive car.
