I have had this car for over two years now. As soon as I bought the car, I had a problem with the engine. It was at 60,000 miles when I bought it, so I was surprised that there was a problem already. The radio has a built-in USB component that I love, but it just recently stopped working. The cruise control also stopped working soon after getting the car. After 100,000 miles, I finally had to have the brakes fixed, which is something I liked very much because they did last a long time. The trunk is very spacious, which I enjoy, but the brake lights and such are hard to access. The heating and cooling is very good in this car, and I've never had any problem with those things.
Story
I took my family to see Christmas lights last Christmas in this car, and we enjoyed the experience together.
Pros
The car is very spacious, and although small, it doesn't feel crammed. The speakers and sound system are very nice. Because of its age, the computer shows the mileage, air pressure in the tires and coolant temperature, which is very useful to people who do not check things like that regularly. The heating and cooling is top notch and takes very little time to go into full effect. The car gets very good gas mileage.
Cons
The technology with the radio went bad quickly after getting the car. The airbag lock under the seats come unsnapped very regularly, which causing dings and messages. The floor on the passenger side started to flood with water when it rained quickly after getting the car. The headlight breaks easy, which causes leakage and causes the blinker fixture to erode and no longer work.

My 2009 Pontiac G5 still looks nearly as good as when it was new. The body fit and finish is very good, and it has no rust despite being driven in the Midwest. The interior has held up very well. The only problem I've had with interior is a burned out backlight for the heater control. It is black with a black interior. While the style is now updated, it still has a sport stance and has a rear wing that isn't over the top.
Story
A friend had a dead battery, and I went to jump his car. I looked all over the engine compartment for the battery. (it is in the trunk!)
Pros
It's very dependable. It has only needed brake pads and tires along with regular oil changes. It still averages slightly more than 30 mpg combined city and highway. The front seats are comfortable with good support. The rear trunk is huge for a car this size. My car has the four-speed manual transmission, which makes it fun to drive.
Cons
The back seat is small and hard to get in and out of. Would be okay for children but not for an adult on a long trip.
