I chose this vehicle based on style and body type. With a growing family, it was time to upgrade from a sedan to an SUV.
Story
One time I accidently spilled a cup of Oklahoma red dirt in the floorboard. But the mat came out for easy cleaning so that craft project wasn't so "dirty" after all.
Pros
The rear seat is by far this vehicles best feature. There is ample leg room with no "hump" in the middle. The seat position can be moved both forward and back. This feature also extends/reduces the already ample cargo space in the rear.
Cons
This vehicle has had multiple major issues before even hitting 100,000 miles. The vehicle developed a strong gasoline smell that turned out to be a fuel leak. It would have been costly to fix but upon contacting a repair shop, they said our vehicle had a "special service bulletin" from the manufacturer for that particular problem. We called the dealer service center who said that they didn't know what that repair shop was talking about, there was no "recalls" or anything like that. This is a great crossover vehicle overall. It retains its value well, even when it's no longer a new vehicle, and it serve a lot of purposes. If you could only own one car, I think this would be a great one to do with.
Story
I put the back seats down and hauled two bikes in the back when my friend and I went for a trail ride near our homes.
Pros
This car gets better gas mileage than you might image, especially if you mostly drive on the highway. Even though this has the size of an SUV, it's got the fuel economy of a smaller car. I can get 25-30 mph highway. It's still a great car for winter driving, too. I live in a snowy place, and this car with its all-wheel drive, and winter tires has never left me stranded in bad weather. This also has some great options, like heated seats (perfect for cold winter days) and a top rack for hauling around bikes and other outdoor recreation equipment. As an added bonus, this comfortably fits five... (more)
Cons
One con with this car is the Pontiacs seem to be on the way out. This can make it harder to find parts or more expensive to get work done (since they don't make this model anymore). This could also be an issue with resale value, since this might not have the same name recognition as other cars that are still being produced with new models every year.
