This is a great crossover vehicle overall. It retains its value well, even when it's no longer a new vehicle, and it serve a lot of purposes. If you could only own one car, I think this would be a great one to do with.
Story
I put the back seats down and hauled two bikes in the back when my friend and I went for a trail ride near our homes.
Pros
This car gets better gas mileage than you might image, especially if you mostly drive on the highway. Even though this has the size of an SUV, it's got the fuel economy of a smaller car. I can get 25-30 mph highway. It's still a great car for winter driving, too. I live in a snowy place, and this car with its all-wheel drive, and winter tires has never left me stranded in bad weather. This also has some great options, like heated seats (perfect for cold winter days) and a top rack for hauling around bikes and other outdoor recreation equipment. As an added bonus, this comfortably fits five... (more)
Cons
One con with this car is the Pontiacs seem to be on the way out. This can make it harder to find parts or more expensive to get work done (since they don't make this model anymore). This could also be an issue with resale value, since this might not have the same name recognition as other cars that are still being produced with new models every year.

Overall this vehicle is great for a family. Great gas mileage and handles wear and tear of little people in and out great. I actually love the cloth seats - this fabric is a breeze to clean and doesn't rip or snag easily. The layout for the driver is the best. I am an above average sized woman and newer SUVs have a tendency to have a small dainty feeling... not this SUV.
Story
The SUV was actually in two accidents super close together and the exterior took some damage but everything/everyone was safe inside.
Pros
I love the roominess of this vehicle. A family of five with two car seats fits comfortably. I also find the sliding rear row a big plus when I need extra cargo space but still need seats and seatbelts for passengers. Spare tire storage is discrete and easy to access. Love the steering wheel controls for radio and cruise control. You can easily reach them with a finger without letting go of the wheel.
Cons
The cabin noise on the highway is poor. It is not that I can hear exterior noises well but I can't hear interior speech from the back seat well. Front and back cup holders are "ehhhhh" at best along with a pretty lame center console. Placement of the window controls is directly below the cup holder leaving them at great risk for coffee/drink spills.
