I love this vehicle. Although it is merely a compact sedan with minimal features such as power windows and power door locks, I have never had an issue with it. I purchased the car for a little bit over $2,000 a year or so ago, and it had around 80,000 miles. Now it has 100,000 miles, and the only maintenance I've needed to do is change the brakes and routine oil changes. The car gets good gas mileage, getting around 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. You're getting the same chassis and mechanics a as a Chevrolet Cobalt, with a little bit sleeker look. The interior is roomy enough. I am 5'11", and I have plenty of room in the driver's seat.
Story
One memorable story is messing around with one of my friends. He owns a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and one time I saw him at a stop light, and revved up my engine pretending to race him. Obviously, I lost.
Pros
The interior is roomy. I am 5'11", and I have plenty of room in the driver's seat. Surprisingly, the trunk is very spacious. There are very low maintenance costs as the car is fairly simplistic. It has power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and power door locks, which I think are the most basic and necessary items for a car. Saturn also built their exterior out of nearly all plastic, which makes the exterior very easy to maintain, as well as it being fairly sturdy in an accident.
Cons
Although I think it is a great vehicle, it's not for everyone. It is a 14-year-old vehicle, and technology-wise is definitely out of date. Their is no MP3 player, no USB connector, and certainly no navigation.

2007 Saturn Ion - I love my car.

I love this car because it can be depended on. It is attractive and I am proud to own it. I love the maroon paint color. The cloth seats are soft and a beautiful soft grey color. My stereo sounds great within the acoustics of this car. I get better gas mileage than I did in Toyota Celica or Nissan Sentra. I have no problem climbing hills because it has plenty of horsepower for me. I enjoy traveling in both urban and rural areas. Everything Is easy for me to understand, it's simplicity is great. If I had the choice I would buy it again. It may not be a fancy car, but it is what I need to get around. All of my friends love my car and wish they had one just like it. I have never regretted buying this car which is more than I can say about previous cars. Knowing I won't break down in this ... (more)
Story
I managed to lock myself out of the car, despite the warning when you leave the key in the ignition (I left mine on the seat). When road service attempted to use a slim jim and other measures it was very hard to get in. He told me this car was the hardest he ever had to get into and it would be very hard to steal.
Pros
I love the body on this because it is cute and sporty, not to big and not to small. The seat covers are so soft to sit on, they are cool in the summer and warm in the winter, they are also easy to clean. It is easy to work on; mechanics have told me this car is much easier to fix than similar models. Great gas mileage about 41 mpg.
Cons
I have had only one mechanical problem which is common in this car-the key would not turn the ignition. I was told several ways to fix it- new ignition, new steering column- going to the dealer for repairs where it would need to be re keyed. Finally I found the easiest band least expensive solution, I called a locksmith and he made a new key from the trunk, and no problems since. A little more leg room would be great for people that are above 6 feet tall.
