I initially leased this vehicle in Oct of 2007. When the lease was up, I financed the purchase. I currently have 130,000+ miles and the gas mileage is still at around 30 mpg. The only issue I have is that the body is put together with plastic clips and I've had some issues with the underneath plastic coming undone and I've had to replace it.
Story
I crossed country from Los Angeles to Maryland during the winter. The car was packed to the gills. The back seats folded down and I was able to pack my car very full. We had a great trip and even though one morning there was ice on the roads, the car handled great! It turned 100K miles after we arrived in Maryland and is still going strong at 130+K miles.
Pros
Reliable… low maintenance and good MPG! Also, this car is great in the snow and handles great.
Cons
Body is held together by plastic clips. This is not a strong way to keep the body together.

I strongly like my Subaru Imprezza 2.5i premium, because I feel like for the money it was probably the best bang for the buck. For me, the option of AWD and a wagon was the best combo I could find in order to fill all my needs. The engine itself may not be the strongest available, however the ability to get 26mpg on average far out weighs the stronger motor option in the WRX. As far as the trim goes, I would say its average. I wish they offered a better leather option. I currently have a cloth option, and I feel it has not been able to hold up as well.
Story
Driving my car in the snow has been a blast. The amount of traction I had in terrible snowy conditions was fantastic and something to be proud of.
Pros
The positive aspects of the car was the value and the AWD as a standard option. The engine is also a strong aspect of the car, even though it's not the WRX version because the fuel mileage is better than the average. I think the styling of the car is actually quite nice as well.
Cons
I would say the biggest con of the vehicle would be the noise while driving. I would also state the trim as being pretty bare, and the options I purchased were pretty standard, as well. Looking back on it, I think I would like the car to be loaded slightly more. Another con is the cost of maintenance if you were to try and maintain as required.
