Good family car
This car was purchased when I was on a long multi-state road trip and my car broke down, and I decided it wasn't worth fixing. Since the purchase, it has taken us through many states and to all the events and errands a family does. It's been reliable and good for every purpose and need we've had regarding transportation.

Reliable and Served Well, Mostly, Except For a Year of Hell
This car has served my family well for most of the seven years that we've had it. I've used it for long out-of-state trips and for all kinds of kid-schlepping to their various activities and around-town errands. Gas mileage is decent. It's a small SUV, so it's easy to park and negotiate parking lots. It has quite a bit of storage space still and the seats fold down so I can haul large objects. I have three sons and we all fit fine in this car. But I had a solid year of hell when something was very wrong and no mechanic in town could find the problem. Many things were replaced due to "codes being thrown" that, while maybe the code was being thrown, nevertheless didn't fix the problem. After spending thousands repairing everything the mechanics suggested at MANY different shops in my town and being in the shop maybe 10 times and being told by mechanics, "There is something wrong but we can't find it" I literally was stranded in the middle of the road with it refusing to respond to the gas pedal or brake. Had to abandon it in the center turn lane. FINALLY it was diagnosed as a faulty computer. This is why it distorted and gave faulty readings and "thrown codes" but replacing those parts never fixed the problem. When the computer was repaired, the whole thing was solved.
