This car has served my family well for most of the seven years that we've had it. I've used it for long out-of-state trips and for all kinds of kid-schlepping to their various activities and around-town errands. Gas mileage is decent. It's a small SUV, so it's easy to park and negotiate parking lots. It has quite a bit of storage space still and the seats fold down so I can haul large objects. I have three sons and we all fit fine in this car. But I had a solid year of hell when something was very wrong and no mechanic in town could find the problem. Many things were replaced due to "codes being thrown" that, while maybe the code was being thrown, nevertheless didn't fix the problem. After spending thousands repairing everything the mechanics suggested at MANY different shops i... (more)
Story
We live on dirt roads and during rains it gets to be deep mud on all roads so it becomes a matter of picking which muddy road bears the least risk of getting stuck in. Last summer after a very heavy storm we had to go to town as our power was out (which makes our well not work so no water in the house) so we had to drive on the muddy roads with a good chance of getting stuck and having to be ... Pros
My car is pretty standard so no real extra features or anything. I like that it's small and easy to maneuver. Gas mileage is decent. It fits my whole family just fine. I can haul things with it. I can drive it in the bad muddy roads we get in my area when it rains. For the most part it's been very reliable.
Cons
There was the Year of Hell when something was very wrong yet no mechanic could find it. It shook very bad at idle, the accelerator would "jump" under my foot, have "flat spots", engine light was on, yet no one could find the problem. It would just die. Once it took me seven tries of it dying each time, just to get out of a store parking lot. This was literally the day I got it back from the dealer who found no problem. Eventually, it got so bad it just stopped responding to anything (gas or brake or steering) and I had to abandon it.

I purchased this SUV when I traded in my Chevy Camaro. I needed a larger car for my growing family. There was plenty of room for a rear-facing car seat. It drove like a truck, and was very comfortable to drive. There was also plenty of room in the back for hauling groceries and other items. The back seats are 60/40 split and either side or both will lay flat. It is relatively reliable and has only had a few minor issues that were easy fixes. That car has become a rattle trap over the years, likely because of the plastic body. The silver painted trim wore off quickly and the vinyl trim on the cloth seats are cracking from use. The gas mileage isn't great and I average about 20mpg. There have been numerous recalls on the vehicle and because Saturn doesn't exist anymore, we have to take i... (more)
Story
My youngest locked herself in the car after eating lunch with my oldest child, when she was a toddler. She had been chewing on the keys and I set them on the seat after I buckled her in. Needless to say, when I closed the door, it locked. Thankfully the fire department was just across the street. Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as dialing 911 when you are needing assistance from a school.
Pros
Size, plastic moulding so there are no door dings, price, Honda engine
Cons
Lots of recalls, rattles, the hazard button broke the first time I pushed it, poor fuel efficiency.
