The Scion tc has a sporty feel to it and has pretty responsive steering. Acceleration isn't the fastest but for a day-to-day car, I think it more than meets the needs. It does have issues with the sunroof once you hit around 90-100 mph where it starts to rattle. The plastic interior feels a bit cheap in certain areas as well. You'll hear rattling sounds if the road isn't smooth. It has closer to a sports suspension so you'll feel most of the bumps and turn of the road. Over the past 6 years, I haven't had any serious maintenance issues so I'd say reliability is great. I've only had to perform the basic maintenance on it every year. It does carry a perception of a high schooler's car, which doesn't really bother me as I got it back in the beginning of college. Overall, I'd reco... (more)
Story
I took a trip to Galveston with the car. We drove it out to the beach and manage to get stuck in sand. Everyone had to get out and push it. Luckily an old couple walked by to give us some advice on driving along beaches.
Pros
Handling by far. I travel for work so I rent cars on a weekly basis. The scion isn't a fleet car but I'd take it over 70% of the cars I'd driven. Most of the Chevy/Dodge fleet cars drive like a boat. Also, I bought the car for 11k with only 4k miles on it so I'd say price was an excellent positive as well.
Cons
It rattles a lot so it's a noisy drive. On the highway and bumpy roads, I'd have to turn up the radio significantly to drown it out. That's the only negative honestly.

Most importantly, the car is very reliable. I have had few if any problems with it. The ride is smooth and it handles beautifully. The car is actually built by Toyota and has the engine of a Toyota Camry inside of it. A Toyota Camry is a great car that is more expensive than the scion, so you get great quality paying less.
Pros
The color is an awesome black cherry that glitters in the sun. Combined with the sexy build of the car, it makes for a very sleek, high end looking ride, without costing a fortune. It looks sporty even without the spoiler. The killer sound system came standard and still works well. The trunk might look small, but it's actually a hatchback that opens all the way for the back seats to lay down, so there is plenty of space. Two sun roofs makes for a unique quality as well. It also gets a little over 30 miles to the gallon.
Cons
The interior is a bit small. I would not recommend this vehicle for a tall person. Actually I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over 5 feet 10 inches. It only has 2 doors so if you have passengers in the back, it makes it hard for them to get in and out. The car is a little low to the ground so you have to be careful about going through low crossings.

The service was excellent from start to finish. The salesman was not overly pushy, and was able to answer all of my questions. The final paper work was quick and simple, and they make sure to service my vehicle regularly!
