This was the first car I owned, and it's served me well over the years. It's had a few issues over the time I've had it, but nothing serious (thankfully). It's a good starter car, in my opinion, as it's not too expensive, and seems like a reliable option to go with. There seem to be a decent number of them around, so you can probably get one for a good price if you're interested in this model.
Story
Simply getting the car was memorable, since it was the first car that I owned.
Pros
It's pretty reliable, and has served me well. It also has a clean look to it, which hasn't really changed much over time (in other similar designs). It's also fairly small, which is a positive and negative, depending on your needs; for me, in general usage, it was fine. There were a number of times I was able to feel more secure in smaller parking spaces than I would have in a larger vehicle.
Cons
It doesn't have the best gas mileage, which is unfortunate. The mileage that it does have is best put to use driving to work/school or nearby stores, so that you get the most out of the gasoline that you have at the time. Referring the size of the car, it's a bit cramped with four passengers, and there isn't a lot of storage space.

My Volkswagen beetle is about 15 years old and still hanging in there! Volkswagen built this car to last, as they do with all of their vehicles. The distinctive features of the exterior of the car include large headlights, 2 door look, and the classic "beetle" shape which started way back in the 50's and 60's. Pro's of this care would include its great engine dependability, very good on gas, and simple interior design. Con's would have to include the limited amount of space you have, and its speed pick up is a bit slow. This is not car to go racing in! I have used this car to drive cross country 3 times and it has over 150k miles and is still running like in 1999! The fold down back seat does help with adding extra room to transport things, but don't expect to use this car to lots of t... (more)
Story
I got this car when I was 16 as a gift, have loved it ever since. This car and I have driven cross country, and on so many vacations and special destinations! The day this car has to be stored will be a sad day, but I will still imagine myself cruising in it in 30 years, maybe just around the block!
Pros
Great engine dependability, very good on gas, and simple interior design
Cons
Limited amount of space you have, and its speed pick up is a bit slow

I've only been to a handful of dealerships, but I chose this one largely based on the online reviews. Comparing it to the others, it was just much easier and quicker to talk to someone who could answer questions. Also, it took a lot less time to do a test drive. Finally, it was conveniently located, which has made servicing the car good.

They had nice facilities, car loaner program for repairs. The salespeople didn't pressure you. They were willing to deal. They were helpful finding financing. They followed up on the sale.
