The car is cherry red, easy to spot, and a good looking car despite being 16 years old. As a first car for high school, it was magnificent. It god the job done while looking good too. It had gas mileage that suited my needs, which was about 18 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. It had a five speed manual transmission. I bought it and it just had its clutch replaced making the gear changes very smooth. Its little turbo made it very "zippy" and agile.
Story
Back when I took the car to school for the first time my friends all wanted to go to Wendy's for lunch, but the car couldn't carry enough people. We managed to stuff eight people in a four person car. Luckily the Wendy's was right across the street so it really wasn't an issue. We even told the school officer on duty what we were doing!
Pros
One of the best aspects about this car is that it is still a good looking vehicle. 16 Years after its initial release, it still looks good. For the entire time that the car has been under my ownership, it has never had any reliability issues. Aside from required maintenance, the car has never needed much. Its relatively fast for the size of the car and engine, and it is as reliable as can be.
Cons
If there were any negatives to this car is that any maintenance required on it can be a little pricy but that is expected when someone purchases a second hand European car.

I loved the low roof line which made the side windows appear slim compared to most cars. The TT was not quick off the line but would accelerate after the turbo kicked in. There was plenty of head room and space inside the car and I'm 6' tall. The styling was nice with the brushed aluminum trim around the air vents and especially the little silver garage door that covered the stereo when not in use. I had that security idea before the Audi TT introduced it. The shape and overall look was beautiful. I always got excited before driving. The silver color was a bright almost white silver which was perfect. I always got more respect on the road with this car such as people giving me the right of way, and I never got a door ding or outside damage on the exterior. The seats were very ... (more)
Story
I had a friend working at the local radio station KROQ. He would call me sometimes three times a week with free concert tickets. So for five years, I would take a different girl to these concerts every week and taking them in this car was like flying first class. Let's just say I was real popular back then making it some of the most memorable experiences of my life. I really had a lot of f... (more)
Pros
The silver exterior. The overall look and style inside and out. The brushed aluminum gas cap. The smooth driving ability and acceleration from second to fifth gear. Exciting to drive every time. Red interior lights. The Xenon headlights. The silver radio cover. The climate-control system and navigation. The wide wheel base and 17" tires. The back seats could be lowered to accommodate a lot more stuff than I thought it could have otherwise. Solid-built car with no performance or wear and tear issues.
Cons
Cost to maintain. Cost of the tires which were rated at only 15,000 miles before needing to be replaced at almost $300 each (at the time). Size. It had a back seat but only two would fit comfortably. Most I had at one time was five people in the car.

First of all, I love the exterior design. It's incredibly eye-catching for a small coupe, and has an elegance that isn't matched by anything else in it's category. It's quick, powerful and stylish, which is awesome. What's not awesome is the lack of interior space, which over time began to be an issue for me. That said, I can't remember driving a more exciting car.
Story
Getting stuck in the snow and doing a high-revved doughnut to get out of it.
Pros
Once again, the appearance was my number one selling point. It looked like a baby R8 crossbred with a Stormtrooper, very futuristic and stylish. The interior was just as impressive. The power of this model was awesome and made better by its size.
Cons
As nice as the interior was, there were too many hard-touch panels for a car in this price segment; I should be swimming in leather, not surrounded by cheap plastic, for the price. The size also began to get to me after a while. I realize it's a two-seater, but it's best suited as a second car; not when you have primary car responsibilities like picking up groceries and helping friends move. The price was also a bit out of line, I was just too excited to put up much of an argument at purchase (such is love).
