I have owned this car for just under 2 years now, having ordered the model as soon as it was officially released in July 2012. Overall, I'd say that the car is well designed and handles well on the road, and the engine is just powerful enough and strikes the right balance between power and efficiency (expect around 475 miles on a tank of fuel). Additionally, the cabin is good quality (decent plastics and neat metal touches) and seats and driving position are both comfortable. I opted for a few extras, such as the MMI system and B&O sound system, cruise control and hill-hold - whilst not cheap, if you can stretch to these they will make all the difference.
Story
My girlfriend and 2 other friends took a road trip down to her family's cabin in Kansas. My greatest memory is just the music and the general feel of being on the road.
Pros
Bought this to replace my 2.0 Petrol VW Scirocco (uninsurable for my 17 year old son!). Have found it surprisingly nippy for a 1.4 Engine, and it zips round corners pretty well. Getting 40 mpg which is good for me (30mpg in the Scirocco!). Stylish interior, excellent manual gearbox, comfortable seating position, very easy to use MMI system and decent sound.
Cons
However, my biggest criticism of this car is its reliability. I rely on the car for commuting and business driving, but it's been off the road on around 4 occasions to date aside from servicing and recalls. Around 3 months after I took delivery, the starter motor packed in. Audi replaced this noting that it shouldn't have failed on such a new car. Then, the MMI system broke. Again, another trip to the dealership was required. Now, the start-stop has broken (most likely another starter motor fault as it experiences the same symptoms as before) and there's a fault on the clutch. It's still u... (more)

I am delighted with this vehicle which looks stunning internally and externally. The detailed finish is superb and as expected from Audi. The 6 speed gearbox is slick whilst the 150 TDi engine gives effortless powerful acceleration especially in the mid range of speed. Sports suspension is stiff but not uncomfortable even for an older driver, the reward being excellent handling. Reasonably roomy too.
Story
I had a race with my brother, my car helped me to win the race
Pros
Additional space over hatchback Powerful yet economical engines Impressive interior quality
Cons
Priced high S line suspension too firm Some versions have less boot space

The car get great safety ratings. As the survivor of a serious car accident, and as a father, this is especially important to me. I hike, mountain bike, snowshoe, and snowboard. The car feels completely at home as a support vehicle for those sports. Despite the fact that there are a lot more around than there used to be, itÕs still a somewhat unusual car. I like the sound of the flat-four engine. The brand's quirky heritage is kind of a badge of pride. People say itÕs lots better now, but I donÕt believe them. People say itÕs because of the AWD, but I donÕt believe them. I think Subaru has just never prioritized it. This is kind of a plus; nobody will think youÕre trying to be cool. Subarus are just aesthetically uninspiring.
Story
I was dating this woman in college, and one spring weekend, I took her back home with me to meet my parents. I lived about three hours away from home. My best friend and I are from the same hometown, and he had ridden down with us to visit his mom. I borrowed my momÕs car to take her out for a drive. MomÕs car was pretty nice for the time, a midsized semi-luxury sedan especially compared to my... (more)
Pros
I like driving with no destination in mind, exploring a new area, but I also like the regular drives I make all the time. It gives me time to think, to enjoy the music on the radio. The only thing I donÕt like about driving is if I get stuck in traffic and end up doing more sitting than driving. I enjoy seeing the views from the road and off-road. I enjoyed riding a motor scooter on crowded roads since I could pull over and drive slowly on the shoulder.
Cons
The housing for the third brake light buzzes sometimes under acceleration at low speeds. I could fix it, but I just have not felt the desire to do it. Sometimes it is still not big enough. No towing capacity. The OEM tires are not very good, but I corrected that 40k miles ago. How beat up the paint at the front of the car gets from road rocks. Gas mileage was fairly low, but I barely care.
