The performance-based 2016 S3 comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 292 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed automated manual transmission. The S3 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph, according to Audi.
Story
The day started out like any other, perhaps lazier. We stayed at a hostel in Phuket, Thailand (all 5 Star Hostels in Thailand), and we had to check out at 12. At around 11am we decided to get showered. I stripped off outside the wet room and closed the door behind me. Next thing I knew I was standing in the bathroom with a doorknob in my hand. Caroline heard the noise and asked what was happen... (more)
Pros
The 2018 Audi A3 has some of the lightest steering you will find on a vehicle, yet it provides ample feedback to the driver on how the car is handling turns and bumps. The A3 handles most road surfaces with ease and doesn't require much effort from the driver. The suspension feels very refined, and the optional AWD gives an extra bit of road grip.
Cons
As is the case with many luxury vehicles, cargo space is limited. Since there is only 10 cubic feet of cargo space, you will have to fold the rear seats down to lug bulky items around. Forget about trying to tote a bicycle in the trunk; it won't happen.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is another midpack luxury small car, and its base price is about $800 less than the A3’s. Both cars come with lots of features, including high-tech infotainment systems with smartphone integration. They also share some downsides. Both have tiny trunks, though the A-Class’ trunk is smaller than the A3’s. The choice here comes down to preference and budget. If power is what you want, go with the A3. Just know you’ll pay a premium if you upgrade to a stronger engine. If it’s a classic plush interior and better predicted reliability that draw you, then the Mercedes is the way to go.

Pros
