2010 Audi A4 - Great all around car!
I got this car as a gift to myself for getting a job and graduating from college. It is a great started car for young professionals. The color is metallic gray and looks amazing you clean it with tires. When I test drove the car, the engine was quiet and but the war was extremely fast. I still own the car and it is still very fast and the engine is also extremely quiet.

I remember just getting the car and driving with my wife. She was asleep in the passenger seat. We came to the stop light and the car next me look as if they wanted to race. My wife would never allow me to do something like this but I really wanted to show this other driver just how much power my Audi had. Once the light changed to green, I floored it and took off. I clearly beat the other guy but the best part was my Audi was so quiet, my wife didn't even wake up as I gunned it to past 80 mph.
The top positive thing about the vehicle is it's look and it's comfort. I haven't been in the back seat but everyone who has loves the ability to control the temperature and the seats are extremely comfortable. Also, I love the engine. The biggest pro would be the cost. The oil changes are little pricey but I haven't had any issue besides from general maintenance issues. The people who advise me against getting this car feared the potential unforeseen maintenance cost. I have been fortunate not have any.

The most negative thing about this car is the general maintenance. Bring the car in for and oil change or tune up is a kind of expensive. It is not expensive as a Mercedes or BMW but it is definitely more expensive than a Ford. I don't feel comfortable changing the oil myself so bring it in can be a little pricey.

2007 Audi A4 - I love this car!
I love this car. My husband and I were looking for a car that was a little bigger than our Honda civic because we were expecting twins and needed more room! My husband was horrified by the thought of getting a minivan and didn't want an SUV due to gas mileage. Also, we both prefer manual transmissions, and they are hard to come by these days. We found our used Audi wagon and knew it was "the one." The car has such a smooth ride and feels luxurious. It has a lot of pep and is fun to drive! It is very responsive to turns, etc. The gas mileage is pretty good and the design is very good. We have had no problems and it meets our needs. The seats are quality leather, has seat warmers and a big sunroof, which we love. There is sufficient trunk room. Like I said, I now have twins and I can fit... (more)

We live up on the top of a big hill that has a winding road leading up to it. My husband loves taking all the curves. I think he thinks he is a racecar driver in it.

-Design-we think wagons just looks so much cooler than SUVs. My husband thinks they are more masculine rather than "mom car."
-Trunk space-can fit everything I need
-Manual transmission-they hardly make those anymore! We don't like automatics
-"Drive"- Sm

-Dated looking dashboard controls
-Only 1 cup holder!!!
-Being an Audi, it seems to be harder to maintain and repair if there are any problems. You have to use 91 octane gas as well.

2004 Audi A4 - Super performance and reliability
This car not only looks great, but is a fantastic performer as well. Audi is a quality company, so everything about the car is designed with detail and care. It shows in the feel of the car. The moment you sit in it, you can't help but notice that the car is made for you, the driver. Everything is easily accessible, designed to be functional but not distracting. The red glowing displays do not damage your night vision. The steering wheel and dashboard are designed to deliver the maximum information in the easiest way. The seats cradle you so that you can do what the car was meant to do: drive. The car accelerates surprisingly well for such a small engine, probably in part to the turbo. The suspension is fantastic, even though you're driving a four door sedan it feels like you're drivin... (more)

The suspension is fantastic, even though you're driving a four door sedan it feels like you're driving a two door race car. Last, but not least, the car has also been reliable, offering no major break down in ten years of heavy use. Within its class, that being a luxury four door sedan with all wheel drive, it is by far the best value for the cost.
When I first bought the car, I had just gotten married. My new wife loved the car, but was upset that it was a stick shift. My dirty secret about this car is that it is literally the very last thing that I will be able to choose only for myself for at least the next thirty years, possibly the rest of my life. I secretly like that she doesn't know how to drive it, which makes it my last retreat... (more)

My dirty secret about this car is that it is literally the very last thing that I will be able to choose only for myself for at least the next thirty years, possibly the rest of my life. I secretly like that she doesn't know how to drive it, which makes it my last retreat. I don't know if that's fun persay, but it is memorable and it does make me feel good. Besides that, the only real outstanding memories I have regarding this car is how I easily drive through heavy snows while comparable vehicles are stalled by the side of the road.
My favorite feature of this vehicle has to be the fact that it is all wheel drive and maneuverable. The fact of the matter is that it is a full sized four door sedan, not a little race car. It has some serious mass to it, which provides some sense of security and safety. I have kids, and am very happy to drive with them in the car. At the same time, the design and engineering behind it make it feel more fun than any other four door sedan I've ever driven. It really is a fantastic blend between reliability, stability and fun.

In a word: cost. The gas mileage isn't notably bad, but it isn't great either. I get around 30 miles per gallon, and with the rising costs of gasoline, this is getting to be a factor. More importantly though is the fact that repairs on this car WILL be expensive. There is no doubt about it. So far, the car has performed with no "unscheduled" break down, but all cars eventually develop problems. It's just the nature of the beast. When such problems do occur on this particular vehicle, they will cost a lot of money to fix. Germans don't usually engineer their cars to be easily accessible and... (more)

So far, the car has performed with no "unscheduled" break down, but all cars eventually develop problems. It's just the nature of the beast. When such problems do occur on this particular vehicle, they will cost a lot of money to fix. Germans don't usually engineer their cars to be easily accessible and fixable. Their engineering tends to lean towards making it work more often than not. Japanese cars, on the other hand, tend to break down more frequently but are at least an order of magnitude easier to repair. Besides the painful costs behind unexpected repairs, this car has a maintenance schedule that is just as proportionally costly to others of its class. The 75k mile maintenance tasks, for example, cost on the order of $2k, and involve dis assembly of the entire front end of the car just to get at the timing belt. By comparison, a Honda Accord's timing belt is readily accessible with just the opening of the hood. The Accord doesn't handle nearly as well as the Audi, and will break down more often though.
