Drives very well. One of the smoothest cars I've ever driven, despite its age and mileage. Soundproofing in the cabin is top notch for a 2003 vehicle. The road noise is almost non-existent. Pretty fast, despite having a small engine. The 1.8t inside of the Audi A4 is one of the best engines I've ever dealt with. Smooth power, effortless speed and acceleration. I don't like the poor gas mileage.. Usually get around 20-24mpg daily. And about 300ish to a tank.
Story
In the winter, here in Ohio, we get a lot of snow. When we first drove this thing in the snow, I was worried how well the Quattro system would fair in light snow, let alone deep snow. Then, before we knew it, we got dumped on with a foot to a foot and a half of snow and we had to drive it. This thing crawled right out of the driveway and made it's way wherever it wanted to go with ease. The Qu... (more)
Pros
Very fast and smooth vehicle. The engine runs flawlessly, despite having over 220,000 miles on it. The turbo spools very quickly and effortlessly, leaving almost no turbo lag upon acceleration. The Quattro AWD system is perfect in the winter time. Whether it's going through deep snow, light snow, ice, water, it gets through it smoothly and seamlessly.
Cons
Pretty poor gas mileage for a small sedan. I expected better mileage, but the Quattro AWD system weighs the car down and prevents it from getting excellent mileage. I'm sure the FWD version of the A4 gets better mileage, for those reasons. Some quirky wiring issues are common with these cars, but nothing major has happened to us yet, hopefully.

I think this Audi A4 is a beautiful car. It drives very nicely - very smooth and great turn radius. I have a black car with a black leather interior and it is very comfortable and roomy. It accelerates very nicely. I did have to get the timing belt replaced around 90k which was expensive but that is pretty standard maintenance for any car.
Pros
The trunk is very roomy - I was able to move my entire room in one trip with this car. It uses synthetic gas which is a little expensive (about 90-100 each time) but so far no problems!
Cons
One downside is that it only takes premium gas so that does add up a little at a time, but it is worth it to avoid the potential damages that could take place. I also did have to have one of the axels replaced as it was making a weird rumbling noise, but it was an easy fix. Also one time my window roller broke, making it so that I could not roll my window back up. However, the repair was easy. Things like this are expected to happen on a car with 140k miles but it still feels as safe and as reliable as ever.
