Used 2019 Audi A4 for Sale

On December day in 2019, I came home to a letter from my landlord that he would not renew my lease. Due to various logistical issues, this meant that I (a single parent) and my two children, then ages five and eight, would be without stable housing for at least a couple of months. I had had a rough year and spent about ten minutes letting defeat wash over me in waves of anger and frustration and resignation. Then I realized: I had parents who would let us live rent-free in their basement for a while. I knew of a company that would probably give me work I could do remotely, at least for a few months. I had no permanent long-term employer to keep happy (I am a contract attorney; I have been a perma-temp for years now). I had an employer who would pay me above American median household income while I was living rent free for a couple of months. And I had a 2004 Buick Century with about 120,000 miles on it. In summary: I had freedom. I spent most of that night pacing my floor and planning, and then started packing. We moved to my parents’ basement. They are religious conservatives and I am trans masculine. They observe Sabbath and I don't. They keep kosher and I don’t. I sucked it up and went with it. I took a second job, a remote one, working 40–50 hours at my office gig and 30–50 hours at my remote gig. I got rid of 90% of our possessions. It helped that many had been destroyed in a basement floods that winter. I shared a large bed with my daughters, because asleep was the only time I had when I wasn't working. I accumulated some gear. On July 10, 2015, I finished packing the car and we set out. We traveled for about a month through Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and southern and central California. We got a sublet in the Inner Sunset district of San Francisco for five weeks and lived in a big city for the first time. Then we spent a month traveling through Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming again, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and northern Michigan.

I had a fun ride with my friends around hills and mountain regions. That is the most unforgettable moments in my life.
