Commuter car with pep.
This is a subcompact vehicle that is good for short commutes. It still retains its original pep and has never let me down. If you keep the maintenance on it, it will last. Get the CarFax, just to see if the previous owner took care of it. And unlike some would have you believe, you can do a lot of DYI on it yourself. Yes ladies that means you too. The draw backs are when it breaks down, some of the parts and labor are expensive. And most of the repairs that are easy on some cars are unnecessarily difficult to get to one this one. Oil changes, which can be DYI, requires premium oil. And premium gas is required. If you try to bypass it, you'll regret it severely. Overall, not a bad ride and average mpg. This car will encourage to put the petal to the metal. And the brakes have outstanding bite. There is a low learning curve if you've never a car with a turbo engine. The car has sport style seats, so long trips are uncomfortable despite the powered seat features. It is not for the tall nor for large amounts of luggage. If you have a medium sized family, it will be tight despite its four doors. The sound system could be better. Mine didn't come with navigation or a compass which I would expect in a "luxury" car as a standard feature.

Annoyed, tiresome, fascinated, and content
The Audi A4 is an exceptional and beautiful car that attempts to compete with BMWÕs 300 series and arguably does a better job in modern times. I love the design of the car, the attention to detail and the addition of newer technologies that were just being introduced to other car companies at the time of my A4Õs production. When the car was at its newest, IÕm sure it performed beautifully. I would most definitely recommend it to people, but at its current state with the way previous owners treated it, I would argue the car has not held up well in terms of its physical beauty with its minor paint chips and dings to its engine problems, such as lack of power, the need to replace key parts every few months, and its awful fuel economy that makes going to the gas station a horrifying chore that will eat up your wallet on an almost weekly basis. Audis are some of my favorite cars, but this made me a little disappointed to see that the older models were riddled with such lack of care towards things like the engine.
