2001 BMW X5 Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2001 BMW X5 - I like this car.
I love the interior, that is my favorite part. It has leather interior and wooden paneling. I really enjoy my sun roof as well and the fact that everything is electronic, including my back hatch that I tail-gate on! I like to listen to my music loudly and the stock stereo has pretty good bass! I don't like the fact that my hazard lights button is located directly under my sun roof because I did accidentally leave it open and it rained in my car causing my hazards to randomly cut off and on. Also, when my dog rides in my car with me, he steps on the hazard light and my lock/unlock doors button, continuously.
Story
When I was test driving this BMW, I was trying to turn around in a wealthier neighborhood and as I was backing up the owners automatic gate started to open in the direction I was backing toward. It almost hit my car but I through it in drive and slammed the gas. Good thing this car has a lot of power!
Pros
The interior and the electronic back hatch are by far my favorite. And the fact that I own a BMW at 23 is a pretty good feeling. I'm also a smoker and it has built in ashtrays through-out the front and back of the car. It also includes a built in place to extinguish your cigarette for you.
Cons
The buttons located right at my gear shift wear water from the sun-roof can get to them easily. Also it has bad blind spots. I had to purchase blind spot mirrors.
