My BMW X5 has proven to be an exceptional car for small, growing families. I was looking for something roomy enough for a family of four that would also accommodate small road trips comfortably. The trunk is large and also offers the option of third-row seating for times when we have a few friends joining or if we decide to expand our family. There is plenty of room to relax while on long drives, and the car also boasts amazing seat heaters for cold seasons. I enjoy having the room of an SUV while also having the sportiness of a crossover.
Story
A memorable experience my family has had with this car is when we took a road trip to las Vegas and then California following that. The drive from where we live to Las Vegas was about five hours and we spent all five hours comfortably in the car with two toddlers. There was lots of room for relaxation and so many different places to keep our snacks. It was a colder season in Utah so the amazin... (more)
Pros
All-wheel drive, optional third-row seating, large trunk, large sunroof, sleek design, seat warmers, helpful display of functions (oil changes, low tire pressure, gas mileage, etc.).
Cons
Not the best gas mileage.

After owning my BMW X5 I can honestly say I would never want to own a different type of SUV. It is the perfect size, not too big or not too small. It handles on a dime like a small car would. It has great pick-up and handles all sorts of weather. The all wheel drive is amazing. The interior has heated steering wheel, heated leather seats and every bell and whistle. It's a comfortable drive with all the luxury! The trunk is the perfect amount of room to hold my over excited dog and it can pull our jet ski like we're not pulling anything.
Story
All summer long we trailered our jet ski and rode all summer long. The X5 went EVERYWHERE form the ocean to the lakes in NH.
Pros
The all wheel drive for those New England winters paired with the heated seats and steering wheel!!! In the summer time the moon roof opens the whole span of the roof.
Cons
Gas mileage is decent but could be better.
