I have a love/hate relationship with my SUV. The X5 is so fun to drive and has been a reliable vehicle for us. I find the exterior to be attractive and the inside comfortable. The heated seats are a true luxury in Chicago winters. I specifically purchased this vehicle after my sister was in an accident with hers. She was rear ended while sitting at a red light with the other driver going 45 MPH. Her family walked away with nothing more than a few bruises. Safety is the most important factor in a vehicle purchase, and I found the X5 to exceed my expectations. My problems have been with the cargo room. Since purchasing the car, we have added two children. With children comes their large and bulky things, and sadly, there is just not just not enough room. With only the stroller in the bac... (more)
Story
I am pulled over often for window tint, even though I have factory windows. Perhaps the all-black interior and exterior makes it appear darker. Chicago police must be bored.
Pros
I love the styling and how beautiful this car is. The seats are comfortable for a long trip in both the front and second row. If you live anywhere that experiences winter, opt for the heated seats!!
Cons
The only con I have just happens to be a deal breaker for me. The cargo space is lacking and means the vehicle doesn't work for my family.

It is not too often that you get something completely unexpected out of a car. When I bought this SUV in 2015, I was looking for a weekend car that would take my wife and I on camping trips, snowboarding and overall outdoor adventures. What I found was not only all that, but a soul of a sports car trapped in an SUV body. The X5 50i has a super strong v8 engine that pulls all the way to the red line. It sounds incredible too, which makes it fun to drive on a windy mountain road. It has tons of grip, so you can push it with confidence. The interior is top notch, and materials are soft-touch and cover almost all surfaces. The ride is very smooth when the suspension is in comfort mode. It rides like a minivan when you need it to, but you can put it in Sport+ when you want the fun, feeling ... (more)
Story
Driving on the mountains on a sunny day, listening to the engine roar around each turn. It's a treat.
Pros
The biggest pro to this particular model is the engine. It has over 400 HP and you definitely feel every single one of them. Fit in finish is excellent, ride comfort is great.
Cons
The only real con here is the expensive upkeep and fuel economy. Even on the highway, fuel economy is pretty poor, but you pay for it because of how fun it is to have this monster!
