2015 Ford Escape - It's an okay car to own, but there are better cars out there.

It's a comfy interior, and I like the color. I don't like that the app that Ford uses for texting in the car — it isn't working (literally stopped working/wasn't updated two weeks after we got the car). It's got a super dark interior, and we had issues with the air conditioning not working about four months after we bought the car. It looks nice, but it has a cheaper quality to it.
Story
My boyfriend drove us to Vegas (from Los Angeles) to see my brother as a surprise. We stopped to get gas and my brother and his girlfriend jumped in. I was freaked out at first, but it was a great surprise.
Pros
I love that you can listen to your music and take phone calls without even touching your phone. The person who is calling shows up on the display. The center console has two parts, but it's great to keep stuff out of the way. I love the back-up camera too!
Cons
The sound when making phone calls is very low. It's hard to hear. The air conditioning doesn't really reach the back seats very well ,and it's miserable during heat waves. The audio system isn't particularly great, and I don't really like listening to bass because it sounds cheap (even with it on a low bass setting). It feels very budget quality. The car gets the helicopter noise as well when two windows are open. You have to have all four windows open or it's unbearable to have the windows open going faster than 15 mph.

2016 Ford Escape - Excellent small SUV.

The Ford Escape is an amazing car. I looked at most of the crossover SUVs in that class and ended up getting the Ford Escape Titanium. I was use to driving roadsters by felt comfortable driving this SUV. I'm able to fit my bicycle in car when I put the seats down and have enough room for luggage and my dog and wife.
Story
I love the fact that I can travel locally with luggage and take my dog. We can go to the beach and take all of our beach belongings and the dog. I've also had fun driving it through the canyons.
Pros
The car has great pickup and great tech. I like the navigation and the hands-free options. The back-up camera and side detection system work great. I also have used it for towing. Unfortunately, I have been in a few accidents, and I have never been injured while in the car. The car is relatively inexpressive to repair. Fords service is above average and has fixed all of the minor issues.
Cons
Had some minor problems that Ford fixed like a rattle in the passenger door and a defective antenna.

The sales lady spent a couple hours with us working to make sure we got the car we wanted at a great price with payments we could handle with no money down.
