This vehicle is awesome in gas. One of the best in Ford's line up. The best MPG you can get without going into the more expensive hybrid vehicles. Moves surprisingly well in the highway. And although is not the best looking vehicle ever, it does have a stylish look for an economy vehicle.
Story
I once attempted to bring two surfboards to the beach with me in the car. I finagled a way to secure them to the roof, turning a few heads on my way to the beach. Thank god it was only 10 minutes away!
Pros
Gas is obviously the most impressive aspect of this vehicle. I used to drive an SUV who got a decent amount of MP, and when I switched to my ford, I was going pretty much the same distance I was going with my SUV but saving at least 30 dollars every time I filled up. That difference adds up quick! Other than that, size is perfect for me since I'm a single guy. Going downtown and parking anywhere is a luxury than owners of larger vehicles cannot afford. Also, the price tag might be attractive to folks who want a decent new car but don't wish to spend the extra bucks.
Cons
Well the features if the car are somewhat limited. But that's understandable since is sort of a budget vehicle. It works awesome for my purposes though, it gets me from point A to point B while saving a considerable amount of money in the process.

I bought the Ford Fiesta because it was Ford's "baseline" (cheapest!) model. Affordability was a huge factor for me, and the Fiesta was the most affordable and appealing new car I found. It's a cute, sleek-looking little car, and is relatively comfortable, for the level of affordability. So far I have not had any random problems with the car, beyond the usual tire and brake pad replacement necessities. I've driven it a lot in the past three years, so there's already over 60,000 miles on it, and it still seems like a new-ish car. I would recommend the Fiesta baseline model for anyone looking for a solid but affordable vehicle.
Pros
The gas mileage is fantastic - about 30 miles per gallon in the city, and pushing 40 miles to the gallon on the highway. I do feel relatively safe in it, and enjoy the fact that I got a manual transmission - I feel that is a key factor to driving enjoyment, at least for me.
Cons
It's a workhorse of a car, but, admittedly, doesn't have much get-up-and-go due to a less powerful engine (again, affordability negates some nicer features). It handles well, though sometimes feels a little sluggish in the steering.

The dealership was able to approve the finance loan on the vehicle. They found a good company with low rates. The dealership also made the down payment very low.

The people did their best to lower the price so we could afford the vehicle we wanted. The people were friendly and our experience with them was great.
