2003 GMC Sonoma Owner Ratings & Reviews

2003 GMC Sonoma - Tough and reliable.
The car has been a great vehicle. The thing I like about it is that it has a full cab, so you can easily fit 5 people in it. One thing that I wish could have been a little bit bigger is the bed of the truck. It's a short bed, but even so you can still do quite a bit with it. Sometimes when moving an item like a bed, or couch it really shows you how much a full-bed on a truck is a blessing.
Story
Definitely driving it up the backside of the mountain. It handles well on rougher terrains, even though it's a small truck.
Pros
The top positive things about the truck would most likely have to do with the smoothness of the car. The car drives well for an already twelve year old behemoth. Maintenance on the car is easy and changing the oil isn't as back breaking as it can be on some other models.
Cons
The negative thing definitely has to do with the wear and tear of the inside, but that is mostly due to the hot climate where I reside The truck could get a little bit better gas mileage, but what can one expect with a truck?
2003 GMC Sonoma - overheats easily, bad gas mileage
This vehicle is a small pickup truck. Having a bed to transport items can be a plus, it's always nice to be the one who gets asked to help someone move. Overall the body has a decent compact look, if you tend to be on the bigger size or very tall this truck may not be right for you. Space in the passenger side and driver side is limited, there's not much room to scoot the seat back or forward. Also for such a small vehicle Miles per gallon are horrendous. On average expect to get 15 city miles and 18 highway miles per gallon. Also be prepared to watch the gauges, overuse or outside high temperatures can cause serious damage to the engine.
Story
Driving from Florida to NY.
Pros
The top positive things include being able to have a truck bed in order to move things.
Cons
The lack of interior space is a definite con, also the overheating engine is also a con.
