The CRV is fully loaded with electronic goodies! I LOVE the extremely clear backup camera and the right lane camera! The automated tail-gate brings a smile to my face EVERY TIME I need to access the rear area of the vehicle! The automatic rear seat "collapser" makes utilizing all the space in the car SO easy! The nav system on the 2015 has been vastly improved over previous editions. (And yes, using previous editions has resulted in multiple near wrecks!) Thankfully, Honda is getting clued in and making improvements to its nav system. The interface between iPhone and car can still use some work, but it is vastly better than previous years. There have been vast improvements to the cruise control/lane assist systems as well. I enjoy putting the Cruise Control system into service ... (more)
Story
When I drive this car, I often have to be prepared to have conversations in the parking lots of stores about its styling or the wheel covers. Sometimes I get asked about the color (Kona Coffee). Fortunately, these conversations have been in broad daylight and instigated by totally benign inquisitors!
Pros
The engine is Honda reliable. With modern technology, routine maintenance is only required every 5,000 miles instead of every 3,000. It is roomy without being lummox-y! Even the back seats are roomy enough to accommodate 1 kiddie seat and 2 booster seats. The cargo area is just the right size for in-town errands and hauling. Passengers enjoy the ability to adjust their airflow and temperature to their own preferences. The leather seats have convinced me that I will never own another vehicle without them! The handling of the CRV is excellent! First off, the Lane Keeping Assist System... (more)
Cons
One negative thing I could see is that it would be wonderful if a left rearview camera were installed to assist with merging onto highways from entrance ramps. The console area is a bit small, but it serves to keep clutter to a minimum. The CRV is probably not enough to accommodate huge loads, but that's outside its scope! The price of this vehicle is comparable to its value! I could have spent many thousands of dollars less for my new car, but I would not have received Honda reliability, styling and all of the extra goodies that I know will keep me comfortable for the next 15 to 20 y... I bought this car on Craigslist for about 4,000 dollars. I never had any problems with its function. It was showing its age with rust on the left rear quarter panel, but it ran fine. The heat and A/C worked perfectly, no weird noises from the engine. It drove well and comfortably held my stuff as I commuted to class. I bought mine after hearing good reviews from friends who had learned to drive in the family CRV, and it was worth every penny. I drove it back and forth to college for a while, around town running errands, you name it. There's a reason you still see a lot of older CRVs. They're basically tanks.
Story
After moving out of my apartment, I packed everything I owned into my then-new-to-me CRV and drove to my parents' house. All the stuff I'd accumulated in two years of apartment living fit in the car, though I couldn't have taken a passenger. It was a gorgeous summer night, and I'll be honest: being able to pack up my whole life and move made me feel like a real adult instead of a college student.
Pros
I don't know word one about fixing cars. This car ran fine and did everything I needed from it. I liked having a tape player because I still have cassette tapes I enjoy listening to, and they do sell connector cables to let you use an aux cable via the tape drive. CRVs have a seriously impressive amount of storage space, and if you're young and single, yes, you can fit basically everything you own in one. This is what I'd call a small SUV, so it doesn't drive like a little sedan but doesn't suffer from the laggy nature of a really big car. Good visibility around the car, and the back windo... (more)
Cons
This model is not a new car. You're not going to get an aux cord, GPS, rearview camera, lane keeping assist, or anything you'd expect from a 2019 model car. The gas mileage isn't terrific -- better than a Hummer but worse than a Prius. If your previous vehicle was small, you'll need some time to adjust. You'll be at risk for the usual used-car pitfalls with previous owners treating the car poorly. CRVs are neither small nor sporty, and if you're looking for a cool-looking ride, it's not the car for you.

They answered all of my questions and didn't pressure me into buying anything. A salesman was waiting and ready when i needed them, but didn't seem overly pushy about the cars. Once I decided on the car that I wanted, a salesman stayed with me the entire time until all of the paperwork was completed.
