I really like that it has good gas mileage. I believe I average about 35 miles per gallon and don't have to fill up as often as I did with other vehicles. The addition of the gas meter is a helpful addition to keep peak performance high! I have never been in an accident with it, but I do feel safe while driving. It's solid when driving and isn't top heavy. The only things I really don't like about it is the smaller tank, the fact that it is almost too light(weight), and the sheer amount of road noise I've encountered when driving. Quality wise it seems well built, and hasn't had anything break or malfunction on me yet (knock on wood)! The steering is really responsive and I've never felt like I was going to lose control, especially at times in which I have had to swerve around objects ... (more)
Story
My spouse and I took two vehicles (Honda Fit and a Honda civic) in order to pick up a custom built, 8 foot long cabinetry table we arranged to buy on Craigslist. When we arrived, the seller laughed and asked where the vehicle we were going to haul the table home in was. When I patted the hatchback of the Fit and said 'right here', the seller stared at us in disbelief and said there was no way ... (more)
Pros
I like the larger, taller windshield, because it virtually eliminates blind spots. Yes, there still are blind spots, but they are easily worked around without much fuss. I like the style of the Honda Fit, because it is a unique looking vehicle, so it's easy to find in the parking lot! The Honda fit is a perfect name for this vehicle, because it can quite literally fit just about anything into it! The hatchback is very much an added bonus, because it allows the accommodation of larger items that wouldn't normally fit into the doorway or trunk of a standard sedan. In the past, before the Fit... Cons
The smaller tank helps with the overall vehicle weight, which helps immensely with gas mileage, but the drawbacks are that you do end up having to stop at the pump more often than with a larger sedan, truck, or just about any other vehicle. Another drawback is that because the Honda Fit is so lightweight, I have encountered some problems being out on the road, namely in the form of high winds from nature or from larger vehicles (like semi trucks). When traveling at high speeds, I've noticed a tendency to get blown around on the road if I encounter a gust of wind or large vehicle traveling ... (more)

My Honda Fit is a pleasure to drive every single day. I bought it at auction about a year ago and I have not been disappointed. It is a fun and good car. I mainly drive in the city and it is perfect for zipping around town on errands. I feel I am saving money on gas and that is also good for the environment. I walk my son's dog every day and she also loves the Fit and she is a big girl. She weighs 60 pounds and loves to sit in the front seat. If we go for a walk and no ride first she is disappointed and will stop by the car when we pass the Fit parked on the street. When I took the car for inspection the owner said, 'Oh you have a Fit, this will be easy and quick." The only thing it needed was new brakes. It is well built and dependable. The dashboard is great as is the radio. I have t... (more)
Story
When I drive to local parks for walks with my son's dog, she sits in front seat looking straight ahead. It's a favorite part of her day. Usually at least one person will smile and wave at her/us when we are stopped at a red light. She looks good in the Fit and loves riding in the front seat.
Pros
It is great for city driving. Low maintenance. Good gas mileage. Comfortable and great style. Amazingly large storage capacity. Fun to drive. Performs well on hills.
Cons
It is small so I don't know if I would want to take a cross country trip in it. The driver side key does not work in the lock, it's a Fit thing. I have to unlock the drivers side to get in the car. Its the basic model so I don't have the key fob. Keys are way too expensive. Also the computer system that tells how much oil is in car seems to not work. It says the oil is at 10% but really it is full. I will just get a sticker on car next time I am in for oil change. It is not a brand new car and so far I have not been disappointed with how well it runs and the lower maintenance. The things t... (more)
