I love the sleek design of the car, and the interior is clean. Hyundai uses a lot of organic, curved lines in their design, which I prefer over some of the boxier designs I see nowadays. I've been driving my car for almost two years and have never had any issues with it. Great gas mileage and even if you're running late getting your oil changed, the car doesn't have any problems. The side mirrors can be adjusted electronically, which I prefer to moving them with my hands/getting fingerprints all over my mirrors. Also love that the rearview mirror has a setting that shows which direction you are driving!
Story
Driving to the grand canyon! An epic roadtrip, ending with taking pictures of the canyon and sunset. Without a reliable car, we wouldn't have made it all the way there!
Pros
The back seats of the car fold all the way down, which gives you more room if you're using large items. Plenty of trunk space! This vehicle is perfect for road trips because everyone's luggage fits in the trunk, and there's plenty of leg room for passengers (back and front seats). Comes with a USB Charger and audio input. I also love that it has an ECO option to get better gas mileage! I have cloth interior, but it's very easy to remove stains (like if you spill your coffee). The car is very close to the ground, so it's easy for my dad to get in an out of it with his bad knees. Life ... (more)
Cons
I get great gas mileage driving long distances, but because I live in a city with a ton of large hills, my MPG tends to fluctuate and go down when I drive more within the city. A small electrical issue that is already acknowledged by Hyundai is sometimes there are issues with the audio jack. I experienced this, and my audio input jack was not working for a few weeks. I called about it, they said it would likely resolve itself, and it did after about a month. Must just be one of those things! Other than that, I haven't had any issues with my vehicle so far!

I bought my Hyundai Elantra in 2009 after my previous car was totaled. It was very important for me to have a safe car, and this car was very highly rated. It now has 82k miles on it and is still performing great with no major issues. It drives smoothly with very little road noise, corners extremely well, and is very maneuverable. I have taken this car across to Europe and back, and it got me safely through Southern Italian traffic with no accidents! The gas mileage is great for its age and keeps up with many of the more recent sedans, and since gas in Italy was over six Euro per gallon, this was a very important feature. Before I took it overseas, I decided to do some maintenance to it myself, and with only a You Tube video and some basic tools, I was able to change the spark plugs an... (more)
Story
Driving in Naples was an interesting experience. It seems like traffic laws are more like suggestions and are not enforced at all. I've seen cars back up on a freeway to reach an exit that they missed.
Pros
Storage space amount, smooth ride, safety, and reliable.
Cons
Battery can be more difficult to find, has gotten a few dings in it.

I received this vehicle in 2015 from my grandfather after he passed. While the car was seven years old, it only had 32,000 miles on it. For the most part it has been a decent car. I previously owned a Toyota Corolla, which seemed to have a bit more power and a few less problems than my Hyundai. The Hyundai makes sounds when the car gets wet and has had some electrical problems (passenger window won't roll down if trying from the driver side, tire light goes on when there is nothing wrong with the tires). The car can accelerate pretty decently for how small it is, and the turning radius is pretty decent. I think Hyundai is making improvements and will eventually be on par with Toyota.
Story
My car was shipped from Colorado to California, and when I picked it up in LA, I could barely recognize it from all the dirt it had accumulated on the ride. That was a fun carwash afterwards!!
Pros
Small, good acceleration, decent turning radius.
Cons
Electronic issues, squeaks when wet

The used car lot had a bigger selection of cars than from what I saw driving by. Actually visiting the dealership was a pleasant experience and the employees showed a lot of attention to my needs.

They were very friendly but not too pushy about getting the car sold, and they even stayed after hours and gave me pizza as I finished filling out the paperwork.
