The 2006 Toyota Corolla is an excellent car. It is affordable, compact, and drives great. The steering and turning radius is tight. It speeds up quickly and brakes smoothly. The seat and wheel placement are fully adjustable. Seating is comfortable and the fabric is durable. The steering wheel has not worn at all in ten years! There is plenty of legroom in the front and the back seats as well as plenty of storage space, including the glove box on the passenger side, cubbies on both front seat doors, and a storage unit between the two front seats. I haven't had any mechanical problems with my Corolla but finding replacement parts would be easy since it is such a popular model. Changing the oil is very simple. The backseat can fit a pretty large mini fridge if necessary! The only thing I ... (more)
Story
I drove this vehicle cross country with my dad and my dog. We drove through mountains, farms, deserts, and beaches. It was great fun, the car drove well, and it was very comfortable!
Pros
My favorite things about the Toyota Corolla are definitely comfortable interior and the ease of driving. The dashboard is not right in your face, but it's still very easy to see. I like the speed and braking of the Corolla, as well as the slick maneuvering and turning radius.
Cons
My biggest concern with this vehicle is that it doesn't have a sunroof or a rear camera. I also do wish it got a little tiny bit better gas mileage. Because the car is so light, it is a little tricky to drive in the snow and ice since it can slip and slide a lot.

2015 Toyota Corolla - Great first car if you aren't that tall.

I really enjoyed this car, especially the sports model with the nice racing-like seats and the way they feel when you drive. The exterior of the car looks sporty, but not over the top with its nice rims as well which are only available for the sports model of the Corolla. Overall, I had a great time learning how to drive in the Corolla with its very responsive steering and controls. One key feature that really annoyed me was how small the car actually is. I am 5' 10" and this car requires me to duck to get into the driver's seat and then slouch when I drive even with the seat all the way back. If the car was a bit taller or if the seat could go back a bit more that would be nice. Other than that this car was great!
Story
I think one funny story that I had was when I was driving around in a parking lot back when I was learning how to drive and the car felt different. Every time I pressed on the gas my engine would make a loud noise and the power felt different as the car would surge forward. I actually thought that I broke something while driving, but my dad actually hit the sports mode button to mess with me.
Pros
There were very responsive controls and the seats are very nice for long drives or road trips. The racing seats really hug the body and make the drive feel like you're sitting on a couch.
Cons
I'm not that tall, and I have trouble getting into this car. If you're thinking about buying this car and is 6' or taller. Don't buy it. Look for a better alternative.

It's located near where I live. It is also off a major highway that allows me easy access to get there. They have a very clean lobby and I always get a free coffee or water while I'm waiting. If I have an appointment, my car checkup usually doesn't take over 2 hours which is good compared to the 4-5 hours you have to wait if you don't have an appointment.

Customer service. They didn't try to sell me something that was outside of my budget or had more "extras" than I was looking for. They were patient, and called me when they found something that fit the description of what I was looking for. They let me come back and test drive it several times before making a decision.
