At first glance, the Kia Forte EX seems small and almost dinky. But when you sit inside its deceivingly spacious and comfortable interior, you soon realize the it is much more car than meets the eye. The control panel, steering wheel buttons, and dashboard are all laid out in a very simple and straightforward set up. The steering of the Forte has a surprisingly sporty feel for such a small sedan. And the transmission is very tight, switching gears almost seamlessly and downshifting for that extra boost of speed just when you need it. It's smooth around corners, excellent at short stops if necessary, and all around an excellent to-and-from vehicle that is well suited for just one person, or one person and three passengers.
Story
The vehicle is spacious enough on the inside for a person who's rather tall, such as myself. But is also compact enough on the exterior to fit into designated Compact Car spaces at malls and what not. I've really enjoyed using that to my advantage. I never have to walk far through the parking lot when visiting my local mall.
Pros
My favorite features of the vehicles would certainly be it's handling. The Kia Forte has a very sporty handling feel to it and handles curves and tight corners at higher speeds with no problems. It has a rather "grippy" feel on everyday roads, for lack of a better term. The integrated entertainment system is excellent as well. The speakers boast a wonderful range of sound that gives all genres of music a little kick you might not have noticed before. And I found that pairing a Bluetooth device with the vehicle was among the easiest tasks I've ever completed in a vehicle. The MPG is also ve... (more)
Cons
The only con I can particularly think to express about the Kia Forte is that at times, it can get a little too comfortable staying in lower gears when accelerating from a full stop or a sudden decrease in speed. This is not to say that it has bad acceleration. But I have found that sometimes it does need a little extra boost of speed when merging onto a fast-flowing highway, which results in my having to press the accelerator a little farther down than I would usually expect. This is not necessarily a downfall, but just a performance anomaly I noticed happening more than most other vehicles.

With regard to my Kia Forte EX 2014 model, I particularly like a few things. The first being that it drives insanely smooth. In the past, I have always driven Jeeps, which are not necessarily known for their smoothness, but the Kia is a breath of fresh air. In addition, I like the cool black interior which really gives the car a sense of maturity. Last, I like how you can combine the trunk and the back row by simply pulling the back row forward. This makes it insanely easy to store larger items.
Pros
I really love how well the vehicle handles the open road. Often times when I sit in the passenger seat and let someone else drive I feel like I am not even moving, with bumps being a rarity. In addition, I really love the gas mileage the vehicle gets. With over 35 miles per the gallon on the highway, the car goes a long distance for the buck. As a college student, this makes driving the vehicle not only affordable but also enjoyable as I can take a spin whenever I feel like it without feeling like I am costing myself and arm or a limb.
Cons
The only con I have is that I wish the car came with heated seats made standard.
