When I first purchased the 2010 Kia Optima I was looking for affordability and not any other real factors. But little did I know that this car offers a lot of good features for a low cost. The car is comfortably roomy with room for friends. The trunk is even spacious. The style of the car made it just sporty enough without the added price tag one pays for a super fast sports car. It gets great mileage and at over 60,000 miles I have not had a single issue with the vehicle. Basic maintenance and repairs were all that were needed. The car is able to accelerate quickly not giving a sluggish feeling and is super quiet. I have only two cons for the vehicle. First is the blind spot I notice in the far left back and the large strip that connects the front window from the rest of the car. It s... (more)
Story
Great car to take to the beach and get away with. It's a good feeling to drive to the beach for the weekend, come back home and have plenty of gas left.
Pros
Quiet, great on gas mileage
Cons
Interior seating, a few blind spots

The styling is just middle of the road, but it handles nicely. While this is by no means luxury car, it really is in the same class as a Camry or Accord for less money. I can't say that it's a pleasure to drive, but at the same time it is nimble and reactive enough to not be a bad daily driver.
Story
I got stuck behind a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans in this car. The parade had already run its route and was heading back to the staging area. So we slowly cruised with the parade and threw beads out of the car the entire way.
Pros
This car gets great gas mileage, close to 40mpg on the highway around the high 20's in the city. Nice smooth ride. I'm up to 55,000 miles and haven't had a single problem with this car. Good solid reliable transportation. I purchased this when it was one year old with less than 20,000 miles and it was a steal. The 10 year warranty is at the top of the automotive industry. Everything about this car screams economy but it really isn't all that hard on the eyes.
Cons
The styling is nothing to write home about. Not bad, just very basic. It simply isn't my cup of tea. Most of my cars in the past were much sportier and faster. The 4 cylinder is lacking a lot of power compared to the 6 and 8 cylinders that I'm use to. The cloth interior in mine isn't very attractive. The factory floor mats didn't hold up very well.
