I liked a lot of things about the vehicle. The engine was a fairly strong V8 for a 1992 luxury car (250 hp). For its time it was very sleek, but it definitely became dated. The body was very sturdily constructed and strong, which is good for protection in crashes. The only problem with this is that it also makes the car very heavy, so you can't take turns very fast. There is a built in radar detector in the dashboard to help prevent being pulled over for speeding. The interior is a very nice leather. A strong Pioneer sound-system is included. The A/C also works quite well. The interior is very roomy and spacious even for a 5 seat sedan. The exterior is a bit boxy and outdated looking. It doesn't have the same pizzazz that it has when it was originally released. I had a few friends who would tease me about it being an "old man" car. However I enjoyed the luxury it provided. The windows were electric and so were the two front seats. There are also seat warmers for both front seats.

Safe, strong, fast, reliable, comfortable
The Lexus LS 400 1990 is an extremely reliable car. The V8 engine gives a safety feeling and the possibility to quickly be able to get out of trouble if it arises. The sturdiness of the body and heaviness of the doors add to the safety feel of the vehicle. The luxury of the leather and wood paneling of the dashboard makes one feel like in a second home. I really like the fact that though it is now 23 years old, the car design has not aged poorly. Its line can still compete with that of the newer designs. It has simple, yet stylish lines which make it timeless. Though I do not really consider myself a "sedan" person, this car has fit me quite perfectly in all the areas of my life and that is really important. From work, to schools to the tennis court, it accommodates all of my 'personalities".

Great, long lasting luxury.
My car had over 250,000 miles on it and drove like a champ. The problems I've had were always minimal to be such an old car. It was a smooth ride always and you could definitely tell that it was a luxury car. The parts were a little pricey, but not too bad. My leather seats did melt under my child's car seat. I was so upset! Other than that, I loved my car. It broke down recently and was towed in. I miss my car so much!
