The car has 150,000 miles and is still running smoothly. Over the almost 15 years that I have owned the car, I have only had to make minor updates (e.g., Replace batteries) and it still runs like a dream! The black and silver interior never goes out of style, and the microsuede seats make it feel like a sports car. Plus, the microsuede seats mean you will never get scorched by sun-soaked leather seating again. As someone who loves road trips, the car is perfect. It is small enough to make the trip with great fuel mileage, but it is large enough to comfortably fit 4 people and all of the things they might need for a long weekend away.
Story
I love taking the car to the beach. With its sun/moon-roof and sport-tapered shape, the car looks great filled with beach-goers! I remember taking my friends down to the beach in the car, with our hands out the sunroof and windows. After a day in the sun, sand, and ocean, we could hop into the car and sit in the comfortable microsuede seats on our way to grab iced coffees.
Pros
The car will never go out of style, and I constantly get questions about when the car was made, despite the car being nearly 15 years old. The sleek lines on the car make it look and feel like a sports car, with its incredibly quick pick-up. The car gets great gas mileage, the air unit has always been reliable, and the engine has as well. Only minor repairs have been necessary and will likely continue to be. I have conducted all suggested check-ups at the Lexus dealership, so all repairs are documented and I would gladly show them to you.
Cons
The 7CD stereo system has been problematic since the first few years that I owned the car. I have had to replace it three times, however the first three CD slots always work. It is the later CD slots that get jammed and do not accept new discs.

My Lexus IS 300 is a very stylish car. The color is eminent white pearl. It is a very unique color with much depth to it. It seems to glisten like pearls in the sun. The body/contour lines and the 17 inch alloy rims give this sedan a very sporty yet luxurious feel and appearance. The interior boasts a very supple faux leather look in a very rich tan and black two-tone coloring. The sedan has many driver goodies including cruise control, blind spot notification, a fixed color screen, sun/moon roof, navigation, satellite radio, and power seats that adjust in many different directions. Unfortunately, the driver seating area seems a little cramped with the steering wheel and there are two useless cup holders in the center console. But, the very responsive 255hp engine and AWD precision han... (more)

When shopping, I purchased an item at Lowe's that was too heavy for me to take out of the store. The young man that brought my item to the car really seemed to like my car and we started talking about it. I ended up giving him a 20 minute tour of the interior features. His boss came out looking for him and seemed to be a little perturbed that he was hanging out with a customer for so long. The... (more)
Pros

Cons
Driver seat and steering wheel seem cramped at times. Car is low to the ground so it seems difficult to exit. There are 2 cup holders in the center console that are difficult to reach. If riding with a passenger, the passengers arm covers them. Placement is terrible.

I really like how reliable it is. It drives very smooth. The gearing and transmission is almost seamless. (You can't tell when the car switches gears) And if you feel like doing it yourself you can switch to "manualumatic" mode. It performs very efficiently. I've only had to take it to the shop once to replace a headlight, other then routine check ups and oil changes.
Story
Nothing that really sticks out, it really is a blast just to drive around every day with the windows down.
Pros
The style if very sleek, even though it is over a decade old, I think it is a very sleek body style. I love the pick up and reliability of it. I have even done some after market work to make it look even nicer. The HID headlights are also awesome at night. I can see everything. The ride is also very comfortable in that it has great lumbar support and very nice cloth seats.
Cons
The car handles horribly in the snow, and can be a bit touchy in the rain as well. It is rear wheel drive so the front end grip is touchy at best and you end up fish tailing a lot. I have had many a heart attack moments in the snow. Also the tires are lo-pros which looks cool, but I have had a lot of flats, not sure if it's tire quality or the fact they are just smaller.
