2008 Mercury Milan - Smooth ride with comfort

My Mercury Milan rides very smoothly and quietly. It has a nice moon roof that doesn't make it breezy when it is opened, and it allows me to look up at stars or jets flying overhead. The car has good power but not too much muscle to tempt me to speed. It has comfortable interior seats with automatic adjustments that make driving or riding nice. The radio system has good reception and picks up stations clearly. The A/C cools the car down quickly, and the back seats fold forward to allow for longer items to be transported.
Story
I drive past a military base regularly and jets fly along the road. When the traffic is light, I like to open to moon roof or sun roof and watch the jets fly past me as I'm driving up the street. I've even done this with the Blue Angel performance team during their practice sessions—awesome!
Pros
The vehicle's smooth and quiet ride is its top feature. It has good visibility to see around the car when switching lanes or turning. The dash gives lots of good information about miles per gallon, trip time, trip miles, average speed, etc., and it can be reset easily. Most parts for the vehicle are available at a reasonable to low cost, since it isn't a high-performance vehicle or foreign car. It is large enough to make you feel safe on the road but not too big that it isn't maneuverable through traffic.
Cons
The car uses fuel too fast around town. While its highway fuel usage isn't bad at around 27 MPG, that is cut almost in half at 14 to 15 MPG around town. The rear-view mirror doesn't have a switch to adjust to night driving if the car behind has bright lights. It is supposed to adjust automatically but doesn't always do that when needed in a timely fashion.

2008 Mercury Milan - Powerful and reliable.

This car is a beast. With a V6 engine and soft ride, once you get it going it eats up the road. Fords and Mercuries tend to love non city driving, so if you're forced to use this car in the city or in crowded suburbs, be aware that this isn't this car's strong point. Where you get the most reliability is open road driving, and this car is a warrior in that department. Its soft ride and smooth shifting makes long distance driving a pleasure, and it's super reliable as well. Give her the usual maintenance she will last you a decade or more.
Story
Long distance road trips were so easy. Maneuverability was great, so was able to blast the little guys away.
Pros
Powerful, easy ride, smooth handling and easy maintenance.
Cons
Lazy acceleration. Takes a good 8 seconds to reach cruising speed. Crummy gas mileage (it's a V6, what do you want?). Electrical system is less than reliable.
