Reliable, small SUV
Overall, I really like my Outlander Sport ES. It had been a very reliable vehicle. I drive 15,000 to 20,000 a year and have had no significant problems with it. It drives smoothly and handles well in the snow, even though it is not a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Not the best.
When picking out this car, we fell in love with how the outside looked from every angle. It looked perfect, larger than out previous car and not too big like other SUVs. We loved the sleek look to the body. The sports cloth on the interior is wonderful as well, especially because it makes for easy cleaning. We however, do not like the CVT that came with the model we purchased. This type of transmission makes for a less than smooth acceleration and stopping. It is most awful in a stop and go situation like traffic! It does ride nice and smooth and is quiet. It gets great gas mileage as well. I especially loved that the driver's seat raises up and down and forward backwards. Another con to this model is the small aspect that we loved, has actually became a huge issue, the back row is very cramped with out two kids, and my husband is too tall to comfortably drive with a car seat directly behind him. We did love that we can dim or brighten the dash board gauges, which is wonderful for evening/highway driving. It's nice that the back seats fold down to create more storage room and also that extra sub outlets in the center console. The Bluetooth radio is very convenient as well. We just can't get over the transmission!
