My dream car
I love the looks of this SUV. The styling is so classic, and I like that newer models haven't changed much. There aren't a whole lot of these on the road, so it's always fun when I spot another one. This car has very comfortable seating, leather interior, nice dashboard, easy to read gauges. I like that the driver sits high above the road for a good view. The car seats five adults comfortably, and two smaller children can ride in the back. The back seats are removable for extra cargo space. This SUV is fun to drive and handles very well. The braking is excellent. Acceleration is average, sometimes I have to downshift in order to get enough power to accelerate quickly. The gas mileage is average for this class/size of vehicle, meaning it is pretty poor. I get about 15 mpg, slightly better on the highway. Maintenance has been pretty simple, and the repairs have been infrequent, although they are expensive when needed. Overall, I think the quality of this SUV is excellent. I have nearly 200,000 miles on mine. If it ever gives up the ghost, I'm replacing it with another Land Cruiser.
