The Toyota Land Cruiser is the most iconic SUV ever produced in the automotive industry. The reason why I fell in love with it was due to its aggressive yet elegant styling, toughness and ruggedness and, most importantly, the value of its brand and reliability. I absolutely loved every inch of it, especially its powerhouse, a mammoth 5.7 Liter V8 gasoline engine. It is sufficient to take you anywhere on any terrain. Its 4X4 capabilities are beyond comprehension with terrain select modes, traction control, differential lock and independent suspension controls. The drives were always smooth, and the response from the gas pedal were instantaneous. The fabric interior with leather dashboard and door trims added some extra luxury to it. Dual-zone climate controls made sure that the driver a... (more)
Story
Honestly, every moment was a memorable one. But the most memorable one would be the day that I helped a gentleman tow his vehicle which had broken down on the freeway. I was glad to have been able to help him out by towing his vehicle to a mechanic workshop, and it was very pleasant and a memorable one indeed.
Pros
The engine of course. It has and always delivers raw power when needed especially during off-road voyages. The exterior's elegant design which was ever-so attractive. The terrain select options were my favorite feature because you could literally take this on any terrain, and it would fine tune its suspensions and engine control just to suit the exterior conditions.
Cons
Since it's a very powerful vehicle, fuel efficiency isn't the biggest deal you could get out of it. Does 13 miles to the gallon in the city and 17 to 18 on the highway. It sure is a thirsty beast! With the third row seats down, there is very little space for luggage. Due to its large and muscular fuselage, parking is a major challenge especially in the city areas.

Robust off-road capabilities, impressive interior fit-and-finish, and above-average reliability. It has a comfortable ride, lots of impressive standard features, and the ability to tackle most off-road situations.
Story
I had gone to visit a friend, and when I was ready to leave, my husband called me informing that our three-year old daughter had a severe fever and that he had left his car with a mechanic. I pressed the accelerator, begging it not to let me down. Never had I known how responsive this car could turn out to be as I pushed it up hill. It was like a winged monster on the ground.
Pros
381-horsepower V8 engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and full-time four-wheel drive. It can tow up to 8,200 pounds. The Toyota has crisp steering and handles well on smooth surfaces. Off-roading capabilities are excellent, thanks to an 8.9-inch ground clearance, a suspension geared to traveling off pavement, and a multi-terrain monitor (which uses four cameras on the front, sides, and rear to display off-road conditions). The Land CruiserÕs fuel economy rating is 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway, which is about average for its class.
Cons
Limited cargo space, very heavy, weak bumper.
