I think the look and design of this car is good, not too flashy not too boring. The car is comfortable to ride in and drive in. The room in the car is great, I've been able to use it when I've moved and I can fit two bikes in the back if I need to. There are some fairly big blind spots with how the back window is designed, the frame of the car seems to be bigger than it needs to be, I think they could have easily improved that design. The mileage was as I expected, I do a combination of city and highway driving and a normal week for me gets about 28 mpg. Maintenance has been hassle free so far. The car drives well, I feel like the breaking and handling are good. The acceleration leaves something to be desired, but I've found in normal driving this isn't a problem. I really enjoy drivin... Story
It's tricky, but I have managed to fit two bikes in the back of this car. One time a couple of friends needed rescuing when their bike got a flat tire in the middle of a long ride, I was able to pick both of them and their bikes up. It was a tight squeeze and probably not legal to have two people in the front seat, but the matrix was a champ that day.
Pros
The biggest advantage of this vehicle is the storage size. I'm able to fit a lot of stuff in the back. After owning this car I don't think I'll ever buy a non-hatchback. I've also been in other maker's hatchbacks and they don't seem as roomy.
Cons
There could definitely be more visibility when backing up. And for some odd reason, hubcaps keep falling off. I had lost a couple of hubcaps and thought it was just me until another matrix driver pointed out that it's a problem with the car itself. Now I notice that almost every matrix on the road has at least one hubcap missing.

I LOVE this car! My car is 11 years old, and it still runs about the same as it did when I first got it. I've never had any problems with it and, honestly, as long as you keep up with regular maintenance, this car will last you a life time. I travel a lot for work and almost always drive. This car has been all over the country and, again, with not trouble. Within the past few months I've driven from Maryland, to New Jersey, from New Jersey to Kentucky, and from Kentucky to Vermont. I have a friend that keeps asking me when I'll get a new car, and I tell him every time, "only when I have to!" This car is my baby! I've noticed it's never liked big hills, though. And the blind spots are pretty terrible. But as long as you look around you, it's fine. All in all this car is extremely reliab... (more)
Story
Took my friends and I after graduation to Niagara Falls. It was SO much fun and SO beautiful. A time I'll never forget. Plus I only had to fill the car up with gas two, maybe three times! That's a 12+ hour ride in total from where I'm at!
Pros
Reliable, good on gas, great little-big car.
Cons
Blind spots are pretty bad.
